The macro lost its last user when select() was reimplemented on top of pselect6 for every architecture; sys/select.h no longer looks at it, and nothing else in the tree does either. See commit 668e43737279 ("tools/nolibc/select: drop non-pselect based implementations"). The comment that goes with it is stale for the same reason, as neither architecture can end up calling old_select any more. Drop both from arch-x86.h and arch-arm.h. tools/nolibc: add ftruncate()

On architectures with 32-bit longs, call the compat syscall __NR_ftruncate64. As off_t is 64-bit it must be split into 2 registers. Unlike llseek() which passes the high and low parts in explicitly named arguments, the order here is endian independent. Some architectures (arm, mips, ppc) require this pair of registers to be aligned to an even register, so add custom _sys_ftruncate64() wrappers for those. A test case for ftruncate is added which validates negative length or invalid fd return the appropriate error, and checks the length is correct on success. tools/nolibc: rename my_syscallX() to __nolibc_syscallX()

The naming convention of the my_syscallX() macros is a bit unfortunate. They may conflict with application code and the name is very generic. Switch to __nolibc_syscallX(). The leading underscores place the symbols in the implementation-defined namespace, avoiding conflicting names. It is also clearer that these are non-standard extensions from nolibc. tools/nolibc: add option to disable runtime

In principle, it is possible to use nolibc for only some object files in a program. In that case, the startup code in _start and _start_c is not going to be used. Add the NOLIBC_NO_RUNTIME compile time option to disable it entirely and also remove anything that depends on it. Doing this avoids warnings from modpost for UML as the _start_c code references the main function from the .init.text section while it is not inside .init itself. The specific attributes for the _start entrypoint are duplicated for each architecture. Deduplicate it into a dedicated #define into compiler.h. For clang compatibility, the epilogue will also need to be adapted, so move that one, too. The statx manpage [1] shows that it has been supported from Linux 4.11 and glibc 2.28, the Linux support can be checked for all of the architectures with this command: $ git grep -r statx v4.11 arch/ include/uapi/asm-generic/unistd.h \ | grep -E "aarch64|arm|mips|s390|x86|:include/uapi" Besides riscv and loongarch, all of the nolibc supported architectures have added sys_statx from Linux v4.11. riscv is mainlined to v4.15, loongarch is mainlined to v5.19, both of them use the generic unistd.h, so, they have added sys_statx from their first mainline versions. The current oldest stable branch is v4.14, only reserving sys_statx still preserves compatibility with all of the supported stable branches, So, let's remove the old arch related and dependent sys_stat support completely.
