The ov7740_remove() function unconditionally called pm_runtime_get_sync()
but completely ignored the return value. If the device was already in an
error state or disconnected, this could lead to an unbalanced PM runtime
usage count or attempt to communicate with an unresponsive device.
Disable Runtime PM first, then see if the device is active, and if so,
power it off.

The ov02a10_check_hwcfg() function calls fwnode_handle_put(ep)
immediately after allocating and parsing the endpoint. However, it
subsequently calls fwnode_property_read_u32() using the same 'ep'
handle, leading to a potential use-after-free.
Additionally, reading the optional 'ovti,mipi-clock-voltage' property
used to overwrite the 'ret' variable. If the property was missing,
'ret' would become negative, and this failure code would be incorrectly
returned at the end of the function, causing probe to fail entirely.
Fix the use-after-free by moving fwnode_property_read_u32() before
the endpoint is parsed and freed. Avoid the error leak by not
assigning the result of fwnode_property_read_u32() to 'ret'.

Traditionally <linux/mod_devicetable.h> was a header defining a plethora
of structs, among them struct usb_device_id. This was split now with the
objective that only the relevant bits are included.
Currently <linux/mod_devicetable.h> is transitively included in
drivers/media/usb/em28xx/em28xx.h via:
drivers/media/usb/em28xx/em28xx.h ->
<linux/i2c.h> ->
<linux/acpi.h> ->
<linux/device.h> ->
<linux/device/driver.h> ->
<linux/mod_devicetable.h
To keep struct usb_device_id available once <linux/device/driver.h>
stops including <linux/mod_devicetable.h>, include it the header
providing that struct explictly.

cec_pin_update() fills work_pin_events[] and work_pin_ts[], then
increments work_pin_num_events. cec_pin_thread_func() uses that counter
to decide when to read the FIFO entries.
Do not let the counter update be observed without the event update. Also
do not let a freed slot be reused before the thread has finished reading
it. Use release operations when publishing an entry and releasing a slot,
and acquire operations when consuming those counter updates.

cec_transmit_msg_fh() drops adap->lock to wait for a blocking transmit in
wait_for_completion_killable(). If that wait is interrupted by a signal,
cancel_delayed_work_sync() can run before the CEC kthread arms the reply
timeout via schedule_delayed_work(&data->work) in cec_transmit_done_ts().
The work is then armed after the cancel, and the data is freed with its
delayed_work still pending:
ODEBUG: free active (active state 0) object: ... hint: cec_wait_timeout
Use disable_delayed_work_sync(): it cancels the work and disables it, so
the later schedule_delayed_work() becomes a no-op and the work cannot be
re-armed. The data is freed right after, so it need not be re-enabled.

stm32_rx_done() appends each received CEC byte to rx_msg.msg[] using
rx_msg.len as the write index, incrementing it on every RXBR
(receive-byte-ready) interrupt without checking it against the buffer
size:
cec->rx_msg.msg[cec->rx_msg.len++] = val & 0xFF;
rx_msg.msg[] is a fixed CEC_MAX_MSG_SIZE (16) byte array in struct
cec_msg, and rx_msg.len is only reset on RXACKE/RXOVR or after a
completed message (RXEND). The number of bytes received before RXEND is
decided by the remote CEC device (it sets EOM), not by the driver. A
peer that keeps sending bytes without ending the message drives RXBR
repeatedly, pushing rx_msg.len past 16 and writing peer-controlled bytes
out of bounds into the surrounding memory. This is reachable in normal
operation once the driver has probed and receiving is enabled, from the
IRQ thread, without any local privilege.
The length check in the CEC core runs on the consumer side, after the
byte has been stored, so it does not prevent the overflow. Bound the
index in the driver before the store, as the other platform CEC drivers
already do (e.g. tegra_cec), dropping the excess bytes of an overlong
frame.

The driver registers two regmaps on the same platform device: an MMIO
regmap for the AO CEC registers, and an indirect regmap (using
reg_read()/reg_write() callbacks) for the CEC controller core registers.
Neither regmap_config sets a .name, so both default their debugfs
directory to the device name and collide:
debugfs: 'ff800280.cec' already exists in 'regmap'
Because of the clash the second regmap's debugfs directory fails to
register, so its registers can no longer be inspected via debugfs.
Give the indirect CEC core regmap a distinct name. The two debugfs
directories then become "<dev>.cec" and "<dev>.cec-core". This only
affects debugfs naming; register access is unchanged.
Tested on an ODROID-N2 (Amlogic S922X): the warning is gone and both
/sys/kernel/debug/regmap/ff800280.cec and ff800280.cec-core are present.

After rc_register_device() succeeds, later probe failures must undo the
registration with rc_unregister_device(). The current error path jumps to
the allocation cleanup label and only calls rc_free_device(), leaving the
rc device registration and resources created by rc_register_device()
behind.
Add a registered-device unwind label for the IRQ lookup, IRQ request, and
hardware initialization failure paths. Keep rc_free_device() for failures
before rc_register_device() succeeds.

v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor()
The v4l2 helper v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor() calls
v4l2_async_register_subdev(), which is a macro that expands to
__v4l2_async_register_subdev(sd,THIS_MODULE). Since the macro is expanded
inside v4l2-fwnode.c, THIS_MODULE resolves to the v4l2-fwnode module
rather than the sensor driver module that originally set sd->owner. When
v4l2-fwnode is built-in, THIS_MODULE evaluates to NULL, which then
overwrites the sensor driver's owner with NULL.
This causes the problem that the sensor module's reference count is never
incremented during async registration, so the module can be removed while
the subdevice is still in use by a notifier (e.g., a CSI-2 receiver
bridge driver).
Fix this by renaming v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor() to
__v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor() with an added explicit module
argument and introducing a wrapper macro:
#define v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor(sd) \
__v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor(sd, THIS_MODULE)
This ensures the sensor driver module is properly referenced even when

This series fixes two issues in the fsl-lpspi DMA transfer error paths.
Patch 1 replaces the deprecated dmaengine_terminate_all() with
dmaengine_terminate_sync() across all error paths in
fsl_lpspi_dma_transfer().
Patch 2 fixes a missing RX DMA channel termination when TX descriptor
preparation fails. Since the RX channel is already submitted and issued
before the TX descriptor is prepared, returning -EINVAL without
terminating the RX channel leaves it running against buffers that the
SPI core will unmap, potentially causing memory corruption.

Add support for the vfe-340 PIX write engine, enabling frame capture
through the PIX video device (e.g. msm_vfe0_pix). The PIX path requires
a separate configuration flow from RDI, including cropping setup, line-
based write engine configuration, and the correct packer format based
on the input pixel format.
In contrast to RDI, the PIX interface embeds a lightweight processing
engine we can use for cropping, configuring custom stride/alignment,
and, in the future, extracting frame statistics.
The functionality has been validated on Arduino-Uno-Q with:
media-ctl -d /dev/media0 --reset
media-ctl -d /dev/media0 -l '"msm_csiphy0":1->"msm_csid0":0[1],"msm_csid0":4->"msm_vfe0_pix":0[1]'

The CSID-340 block uses different register offsets for the PIX and RDI
interfaces, but the driver previously indexed these registers directly
with the camss port number. This happened to work for RDI because the
port index matches the RDI register layout, but this assumption breaks
with upcoming PIX interface support
Introduce an explicit port-to-interface mapping and use the mapped iface
index when programming CSID_CFG0 and CSID_CTRL. This replaces the
standalone __csid_ctrl_rdi() helper and simplifies the RDI stream setup
path.
Also correct the CSID_CFG0/CTRL base offsets and clean up the code in
preparation for full PIX path support.
Like RDI, PIX outputs Bayer frames but can also achieve some image
processing such as scaling, cropping and generating statitics (e.g.
histogram), it also offer more flexebility in term of image alignment
and stride. All of that can then later be leveraged to improve
software or hardware frames post-processing.

Commit eac69475b01f ("media: rc: igorplugusb: heed coherency
rules") changed the control request storage from an embedded struct to
an allocated pointer so it can obey DMA coherency rules.
However, the driver still passes &ir->request to usb_fill_control_urb().
That points the URB setup packet at the pointer field itself rather than
at the allocated struct usb_ctrlrequest.
USB core then interprets pointer bytes as the setup packet. This can
produce an invalid bRequestType and trigger the control direction warning
reported by syzbot:
usb 2-1: BOGUS control dir, pipe 80003580 doesn't match bRequestType 0
Pass ir->request itself as the setup packet.

The existing iris_vpu_dec_comv_size() used VIDEO_MAX_FRAME (32) as
num_comv count unconditionally when calculating the co-located motion
vector (COMV) buffer size. This resulted in an oversized COMV buffer
allocation throughout decode session, wasting memory regardless of
actual number of buffers required.
For VPU3x and VPU4x platforms, introduce iris_vpu3x_4x_dec_comv_size() to
replace iris_vpu_dec_comv_size(). These derive num_comv dynamically, it
uses inst->fw_min_count once the firmware has reported its buffer
requirements, and fallback to output count during initialization before
firmware has communicated its requirements. This aligns the COMV buffer
size to the actual count needed rather than always allocating with fixed
VIDEO_MAX_FRAME value.
Additionally, during iris_vdec_inst_init(), fw_min_count was initialized
to MIN_BUFFERS instead of 0. This masked the fallback logic and caused the
COMV size calculation to use MIN_BUFFERS even before firmware had reported
its actual requirements. Fix this by initializing fw_min_count to 0.
During testing of 1080p AVC, it reduces the COMV buffer size from 32.89MB
to 6.16MB per decode session, significantly reducing memory consumption.

The driver was using a fixed default FPS value when calculating the VPU
frequency. This caused wrong frequency requests for high‑frame‑rate
streams, for example 4K at 240 FPS. Because of this, the hardware was
running at a lower frequency than needed.
Add the FPS measurement based on the decoder input buffer arrival rate.
The measured FPS is stored per instance and used in frequency calculation
instead of the fixed default FPS. The value is clamped so that it does
not exceed platform limits. Add a VPP firmware overhead when running in
