The "udc" pointer was never set in the probe() function so it will
lead to a NULL dereference in udc_pci_remove() when we do:

Currently {modprobe, bind} after {rmmod, unbind} results in probe failure.

genirq: Flags mismatch irq 22. 00000004 (85070400.usb3drd) vs. 00000004 (85070400.usb3drd)
renesas_usb3: probe of 85070000.usb3peri failed with error -16

The reason is, it is trying to register an interrupt handler for the same
IRQ twice. The devm_request_irq() was called with the parent device.
So the interrupt handler won't be unregistered when the usb3-peri device
is unbound.

Fix this issue by replacing "parent dev"-&gt;"dev" as the irq resource
is managed by this driver.

usb_udc_connect_control(), soft_connect_store() and
usb_gadget_deactivate() can potentially race against each other to invoke
usb_gadget_connect()/usb_gadget_disconnect(). To prevent this, guard
udc-&gt;started, gadget-&gt;allow_connect, gadget-&gt;deactivate and
gadget-&gt;connect with connect_lock so that -&gt;pullup() is only invoked when
the gadget is bound, started and not deactivated. The routines
usb_gadget_connect_locked(), usb_gadget_disconnect_locked(),
usb_udc_connect_control_locked(), usb_gadget_udc_start_locked(),
usb_gadget_udc_stop_locked() are called with this lock held.

An earlier version of this commit was reverted due to the crash reported in
https://lore.kernel.org/all/ZF4BvgsOyoKxdPFF@francesco-nb.int.toradex.com/.
commit 16737e78d190 ("usb: gadget: udc: core: Offload usb_udc_vbus_handler processing")
addresses the crash reported.

usb_udc_vbus_handler() can be invoked from interrupt context by irq
handlers of the gadget drivers, however, usb_udc_connect_control() has
to run in non-atomic context due to the following:
a. Some of the gadget driver implementations expect the -&gt;pullup
   callback to be invoked in non-atomic context.
b. usb_gadget_disconnect() acquires udc_lock which is a mutex.

Hence offload invocation of usb_udc_connect_control()
to workqueue.

UDC should not be pulled up unless gadget driver is bound. The new flag
"allow_connect" is now set by gadget_bind_driver() and cleared by
gadget_unbind_driver(). This prevents work item to pull up the gadget
even if queued when the gadget driver is already unbound.

While exercising the unbind path, with the current implementation
the functionfs_unbind would be calling which waits for the ffs-&gt;mutex
to be available, however within the same time ffs_ep0_read is invoked
&amp; if no setup packets are pending, it will invoke function
wait_event_interruptible_exclusive_locked_irq which by definition waits
for the ev.count to be increased inside the same mutex for which
functionfs_unbind is waiting.
This creates deadlock situation because the functionfs_unbind won't
get the lock until ev.count is increased which can only happen if
the caller ffs_func_unbind can proceed further.

Following is the illustration:

Fix this by moving the event unbind before functionfs_unbind
to ensure the ev.count is incrased properly.

The CDC-ECM specification [1] requires to send the host MAC address as
an uppercase hexadecimal string in chapter "5.4 Ethernet Networking
Functional Descriptor":
    The Unicode character is chosen from the set of values 30h through
    39h and 41h through 46h (0-9 and A-F).

However, snprintf(.., "%pm", ..) generates a lowercase MAC address
string. While most host drivers are tolerant to this, UsbNcm.sys on
Windows 10 is not. Instead it uses a different MAC address with all
bytes set to zero including and after the first byte containing a
lowercase letter. On Windows 11 Microsoft fixed it, but apparently they
did not backport the fix.

This change fixes the issue by upper-casing the MAC to comply with the
specification.

Commit ac82b56bda5f ("usb: gadget: tegra-xudc: Add vbus_draw support")
populated the vbus_draw callback for the Tegra XUDC driver. The function
tegra_xudc_gadget_vbus_draw(), that was added by this commit, assumes
that the pointer 'curr_usbphy' has been initialised, which is not always
the case because this is only initialised when the USB role is updated.
Fix this crash, by checking that the 'curr_usbphy' is valid before
dereferencing.

In renesas_usb3_probe, role_work is bound with renesas_usb3_role_work.
renesas_usb3_start will be called to start the work.

If we remove the driver which will call usbhs_remove, there may be
an unfinished work. The possible sequence is as follows:

                    			 renesas_usb3_role_work
renesas_usb3_remove
usb_role_switch_unregister
device_unregister
kfree(sw)
//free usb3-&gt;role_sw
                    			 usb_role_switch_set_role
                    			 //use usb3-&gt;role_sw

The usb3-&gt;role_sw could be freed under such circumstance and then
used in usb_role_switch_set_role.

This bug was found by static analysis. And note that removing a
driver is a root-only operation, and should never happen in normal
case. But the root user may directly remove the device which
will also trigger the remove function.

Fix it by canceling the work before cleanup in the renesas_usb3_remove.
