commit df4bb5d128e2c44848aeb36b7ceceba3ac85080d upstream.

There is a race window where quota was redirted once we drop dq_list_lock inside dqput(),
but before we grab dquot-&gt;dq_lock inside dquot_release()

TASK1                                                       TASK2 (chowner)
-&gt;dqput()
  we_slept:
    spin_lock(&amp;dq_list_lock)
    if (dquot_dirty(dquot)) {
          spin_unlock(&amp;dq_list_lock);
          dquot-&gt;dq_sb-&gt;dq_op-&gt;write_dquot(dquot);
          goto we_slept
    if (test_bit(DQ_ACTIVE_B, &amp;dquot-&gt;dq_flags)) {
          spin_unlock(&amp;dq_list_lock);
          dquot-&gt;dq_sb-&gt;dq_op-&gt;release_dquot(dquot);
                                                            dqget()
							    mark_dquot_dirty()
							    dqput()
          goto we_slept;
        }
So dquot dirty quota will be released by TASK1, but on next we_sleept loop
we detect this and call -&gt;write_dquot() for it.

commit be99ca2716972a712cde46092c54dee5e6192bf8 upstream.

ocfs2_dentry_attach_lock() can be executed in parallel threads against the
same dentry. Make that race safe. The race is like this:

            thread A                               thread B

(A1) enter ocfs2_dentry_attach_lock,
seeing dentry-&gt;d_fsdata is NULL,
and no alias found by
ocfs2_find_local_alias, so kmalloc
a new ocfs2_dentry_lock structure
to local variable "dl", dl1

               .....

                                    (B1) enter ocfs2_dentry_attach_lock,
                                    seeing dentry-&gt;d_fsdata is NULL,
                                    and no alias found by
                                    ocfs2_find_local_alias so kmalloc
                                    a new ocfs2_dentry_lock structure
                                    to local variable "dl", dl2.

                                                   ......

(A2) set dentry-&gt;d_fsdata with dl1,
call ocfs2_dentry_lock() and increase
dl1-&gt;dl_lockres.l_ro_holders to 1 on
success.
              ......

                                    (B2) set dentry-&gt;d_fsdata with dl2
                                    call ocfs2_dentry_lock() and increase
				    dl2-&gt;dl_lockres.l_ro_holders to 1 on
				    success.

                                                  ......

<title>ocfs2: fix ocfs2 read inode data panic in ocfs2_iget</title>

commit e091eab028f9253eac5c04f9141bbc9d170acab3 upstream.

In some cases, ocfs2_iget() reads the data of inode, which has been
deleted for some reason. That will make the system panic. So We should
judge whether this inode has been deleted, and tell the caller that the
inode is a bad inode.

For example, the ocfs2 is used as the backed of nfs, and the client is
nfsv3. This issue can be reproduced by the following steps.

on the nfs server side,
..../patha/pathb

Step 1: The process A was scheduled before calling the function fh_verify.

Step 2: The process B is removing the 'pathb', and just completed the call
to function dput. Then the dentry of 'pathb' has been deleted from the
dcache, and all ancestors have been deleted also. The relationship of
dentry and inode was deleted through the function hlist_del_init. The
following is the call stack.
dentry_iput-&gt;hlist_del_init(&amp;dentry-&gt;d_u.d_alias)

At this time, the inode is still in the dcache.

Step 3: The process A call the function ocfs2_get_dentry, which get the
inode from dcache. Then the refcount of inode is 1. The following is the
call stack.
nfsd3_proc_getacl-&gt;fh_verify-&gt;exportfs_decode_fh-&gt;fh_to_dentry(ocfs2_get_dentry)

Step 4: Dirty pages are flushed by bdi threads. So the inode of 'patha'
is evicted, and this directory was deleted. But the inode of 'pathb'
can't be evicted, because the refcount of the inode was 1.

Step 5: The process A keep running, and call the function
reconnect_path(in exportfs_decode_fh), which call function
ocfs2_get_parent of ocfs2. Get the block number of parent
directory(patha) by the name of ... Then read the data from disk by the
block number. But this inode has been deleted, so the system panic.

Process A                                             Process B
1. in nfsd3_proc_getacl                   |
2.                                        |        dput
3. fh_to_dentry(ocfs2_get_dentry)         |
4. bdi flush dirty cache |
5. ocfs2_iget                             |

commit 29aa30167a0a2e6045a0d6d2e89d8168132333d5 upstream.

Somehow, file system metadata was corrupted, which causes
ocfs2_check_dir_entry() to fail in function ocfs2_dir_foreach_blk_el().

According to the original design intention, if above happens we should
skip the problematic block and continue to retrieve dir entry. But
there is obviouse misuse of brelse around related code.

After failure of ocfs2_check_dir_entry(), current code just moves to
next position and uses the problematic buffer head again and again
during which the problematic buffer head is released for multiple times.
I suppose, this a serious issue which is long-lived in ocfs2. This may
cause other file systems which is also used in a the same host insane.

So we should also consider about bakcporting this patch into linux
-stable.

commit cbe355f57c8074bc4f452e5b6e35509044c6fa23 upstream.

In dlm_init_lockres() we access and modify res-&gt;tracking and
dlm-&gt;tracking_list without holding dlm-&gt;track_lock. This can cause list
corruptions and can end up in kernel panic.

Fix this by locking res-&gt;tracking and dlm-&gt;tracking_list with
dlm-&gt;track_lock instead of dlm-&gt;spinlock.

commit 60c7ec9ee4a3410c2cb08850102d363c7e207f48 upstream.

Wait for dlm recovery done when migrating all lock resources in case that
new lock resource left after leaving dlm domain. And the left lock
resource will cause other nodes BUG.

        NodeA                       NodeB                NodeC

  umount:
    dlm_unregister_domain()
      dlm_migrate_all_locks()

                                   NodeB down

  do recovery for NodeB

        dlm_request_all_locks:

    dlm_mig_lockres_handler
      dlm_new_lockres
        __dlm_insert_lockres

  at last NodeA become the
  master of the new lockres
  and leave domain:
    dlm_leave_domain()

commit 853bc26a7ea39e354b9f8889ae7ad1492ffa28d2 upstream.

The subsystem.su_mutex is required while accessing the item-&gt;ci_parent,
otherwise, NULL pointer dereference to the item-&gt;ci_parent will be
triggered in the following situation:

add node                     delete node
sys_write
 vfs_write
  configfs_write_file
   o2nm_node_store

                              vfs_rmdir
                               configfs_rmdir

	 to_o2nm_cluster_from_node
	  node-&gt;nd_item.ci_parent-&gt;ci_parent
	  BUG since of NULL pointer dereference to nd_item.ci_parent

Moreover, the o2nm_cluster also should be protected by the
subsystem.su_mutex.

commit 105ddc93f06ebe3e553f58563d11ed63dbcd59f0 upstream.

The first cluster group descriptor is not stored at the start of the
group but at an offset from the start. We need to take this into
account while doing fstrim on the first cluster group. Otherwise we
will wrongly start fstrim a few blocks after the desired start block and
the range can cross over into the next cluster group and zero out the
group descriptor there. This can cause filesytem corruption that cannot
be fixed by fsck.
