This patch fixes as minimum one bug: if customer muxes Headphone to Line-In right after boot, the VAG power remains off that leads to poor sound quality from line-in. I.e. after boot: - Connect sound source to Line-In jack; - Connect headphone to HP jack; - Run following commands: $ amixer set 'Headphone' 80% $ amixer set 'Headphone Mux' LINE_IN Change VAG power on/off control according to the following algorithm: - turn VAG power ON on the 1st incoming event. - keep it ON if there is any active VAG consumer (ADC/DAC/HP/Line-In). - turn VAG power OFF when there is the latest consumer's pre-down event come. - always delay after VAG power OFF to avoid pop. - delay after VAG power ON if the initiative consumer is Line-In, this prevents pop during line-in muxing. According to the data sheet [1], to avoid any pops/clicks, the outputs should be muted during input/output routing changes. ASoC: max98090: Fix restore of DAPM Muxes

The max98090 driver defines 3 DAPM muxes; one for the right line output (LINMOD Mux), one for the left headphone mixer source (MIXHPLSEL Mux) and one for the right headphone mixer source (MIXHPRSEL Mux). The same bit is used for the mux as well as the DAPM enable, and although the mux can be correctly configured, after playback has completed, the mux will be reset during the disable phase. This is preventing the state of these muxes from being saved and restored correctly on system reboot. Fix this by marking these muxes as SND_SOC_NOPM. ASoC: tlv320aic32x4: Kernel OOPS while entering DAPM standby mode

commit 667e9334fa64da2273e36ce131b05ac9e47c5769 upstream. During the bootup of the kernel, the DAPM bias level is in the OFF state. As soon as the DAPM framework kicks in it pushes the codec into STANDBY state. The probe function doesn't prepare the clock, and STANDBY state does a clk_disable_unprepare() without checking the previous state. This leads to an OOPS. Not transitioning from an OFF state to the STANDBY state fixes the problem. ASoC: ssm2602: Replace reg_default_raw with reg_default

commit a01df75ce737951ad13a08d101306e88c3f57cb2 upstream. SSM2602 driver is broken on recent kernels (at least since 4.9). User space applications such as amixer or alsamixer get EIO when attempting to access codec controls via the relevant IOCTLs. Root cause of these failures is the regcache_hw_init function in drivers/base/regmap/regcache.c, which prevents regmap cache initalization from the reg_defaults_raw element of the regmap_config structure when registers are write only. It also disables the regmap cache entirely when all registers are write only or volatile as is the case for the SSM2602 driver. Using the reg_defaults element of the regmap_config structure rather than the reg_defaults_raw element to initalize the regmap cache avoids the logic in the regcache_hw_init function entirely. It also makes this driver consistent with other ASoC codec drivers, as this driver was the ONLY codec driver that used the reg_defaults_raw element to initalize the cache.
