Add text for some undescribed iommu= parameters (merge, nomerge,
biomerge, panic, nopanic, pt, nopt). Add "usedac" and its description.
Add that iommu=pt is equivalent to iommu.passthrough=1
and that iommu=nopt is equivalent to iommu.passthrough=0.
Move the PPC/POWERNV heading & its option "nobypass" to a separate
area since the current "iommu=" applies only to X86 (according to
its heading).
Unindent the AMD GART IOMMU options heading to make it stand out.
Also add its kconfig symbol name to be explicit about what these
options apply to.
Make sure that the IOMMU options that are listed under AMD Gart
HW IOMMU-specific options are only for that product; i.e., add "force"
there and move "merge", "nomerge", and "panic" to the general IOMMU
options area.

Commit 9edd04c4189e ("docs: Raise minimum pahole version to 1.26 for
KF_IMPLICIT_ARGS kfuncs") raised the minimum required pahole version
from 1.22 to 1.26 in the requirements table and added a paragraph
explaining the failure mode for distributions still shipping pahole
v1.25 (e.g. Ubuntu 24.04 LTS).
The next day, commit ece7e57afd51 ("docs: changes.rst and ver_linux:
sort the lists") came through a different tree (docs vs sched_ext) and
re-flowed the table alphabetically, but its base did not include
9edd04c4189e. When the two commits met in mainline, the textual rewrite
of the table won and the version bump was lost. The added "Since Linux
7.0..." paragraph also disappeared.
The result is that changes.rst on master (v7.1-rc5) lists pahole 1.22
again, even though sched_ext kfuncs annotated with KF_IMPLICIT_ARGS
genuinely require v1.26 to produce a correct vmlinux BTF. Users on
distributions with pahole v1.25 hit "func_proto incompatible with
vmlinux" when loading any sched_ext BPF program (scx_simple,
scx_qmap, ...) and have no documentation pointing them at the version
gap.
Restore both changes from 9edd04c4189e.

The new get-reqs dump operations added to sunrpc_cache.yaml and
nfsd.yaml place the "requests" nested attribute under dump.request.
A netlink dump carries an empty request; its payload travels back
in the reply. Because the spec names no reply attributes, the YNL
C code generator synthesizes a forward reference to a
<op>_rsp struct that is never defined, breaking any consumer of
these specs.
This first surfaced when Thorsten Leemhuis built tools/net/ynl
against -next:
nfsd-user.h:746: error: field 'obj' has incomplete type
struct nfsd_svc_export_get_reqs_rsp obj ...
nfsd-user.h:826: error: field 'obj' has incomplete type
struct nfsd_expkey_get_reqs_rsp obj ...
nfsd-user.c:1211: error: 'nfsd_svc_export_get_reqs_rsp_parse'
undeclared
sunrpc_cache.yaml has the same defect in ip-map-get-reqs and
unix-gid-get-reqs, but nfsd.yaml errors out first in the Makefile's
alphabetical build order and hides the sunrpc failures.
These bugs were introduced by incorrect merge conflict resolution.

Add a new NFSD_CMD_CACHE_FLUSH generic netlink command that allows
userspace to flush the nfsd export caches (svc_export and expkey)
without writing to /proc/net/rpc/*/flush.
An optional NFSD_A_CACHE_FLUSH_MASK u32 attribute selects which caches
to flush (bit 1 = svc_export, bit 2 = expkey). If the attribute is
omitted, all nfsd caches are flushed.
This is used by exportfs to replace its /proc-based cache_flush() with a

Add netlink-based cache upcall support for the expkey (nfsd.fh) cache,
following the same pattern as the existing svc_export netlink support.
Add expkey to the cache-type enum, a new expkey attribute-set with
client, fsidtype, fsid, negative, expiry, and path fields, and the
expkey-get-reqs / expkey-set-reqs operations to the nfsd YAML spec
and generated headers.
Implement nfsd_nl_expkey_get_reqs_dumpit() which snapshots pending
expkey cache requests and sends each entry's seqno, client name,
fsidtype, and fsid over netlink.
Implement nfsd_nl_expkey_set_reqs_doit() which parses expkey cache
responses from userspace (client, fsidtype, fsid, expiry, and path
or negative flag) and updates the cache via svc_expkey_lookup() /
svc_expkey_update().
Wire up the expkey_notify() callback in svc_expkey_cache_template

Add netlink-based cache upcall support for the svc_export (nfsd.export)
cache to Documentation/netlink/specs/nfsd.yaml and regenerate the
resulting files.
Implement nfsd_cache_notify() which sends a NFSD_CMD_CACHE_NOTIFY
multicast event to the "exportd" group, carrying the cache type so
userspace knows which cache has pending requests.
Implement nfsd_nl_svc_export_get_reqs_dumpit() which snapshots
pending svc_export cache requests and sends each entry's seqno,
client name, and path over netlink.
Implement nfsd_nl_svc_export_set_reqs_doit() which parses svc_export
cache responses from userspace (client, path, expiry, flags, anon
uid/gid, fslocations, uuid, secinfo, xprtsec, fsid, or negative
flag) and updates the cache via svc_export_lookup() /
svc_export_update().
Wire up the svc_export_notify() callback in svc_export_cache_template
so cache misses trigger NFSD_CMD_CACHE_NOTIFY multicast events with
NFSD_CACHE_TYPE_SVC_EXPORT.
Note that the export-flags and xprtsec-mode enums are organized to match
their counterparts in include/uapi/linux/nfsd/export.h. The intent is
that future export options will only be added to the netlink headers,
which should eliminate the need to keep so much in sync.

unix_gid cache requests and sends each entry's seqno and uid over
netlink.
Implement sunrpc_nl_unix_gid_set_reqs_doit() which parses unix_gid

The auth.unix.ip and auth.unix.gid caches live in the sunrpc module,
so they cannot use the nfsd generic netlink family. Create a new
"sunrpc" generic netlink family with its own "exportd" multicast
group to support cache upcall notifications for sunrpc-resident
caches.
Define a YAML spec (sunrpc_cache.yaml) with a cache-type enum

Implement sunrpc_cache_notify() in cache.c, which checks for

Add a standalone device tree binding for the Renesas RZ/G3E (R9A09G047)
sound controller.
The RZ/G3E sound IP is based on R-Car Sound but differs in several ways:
- Uses unprefixed sub-node names (ssi, ssiu, src, dvc, mix, ctu) instead
of R-Car's rcar_sound,xxx prefixed names.
- Supports up to 5 DMA controllers per direction, allowing multiple DMA
entries with repeated channel names in SSIU, SRC and DVC sub-nodes.
- Has 47 clocks including per-SSI ADG clocks (adg-ssi-[0-9]), SCU clocks
(scu, scu_x2, scu_supply), SSIF supply clock, AUDMAC peri-peri clock,
and ADG clock.
- Has 14 reset lines including SCU, ADG and AUDMAC peri-peri resets.
- SSI operates exclusively in BUSIF mode.

its own $ref to dai-common.yaml.

The Nuvoton NAU8822 codec has four power supply pins: VDDA, VDDB, VDDC

Since commit 86aa1ea1f15c ("ALSA: usb-audio: Do not expose sticky
mixers"), the UAC mixer core utilizes volume SET_CUR and GET_CUR to
identify devices with sticky mixers. Unfortunately, even though most
devices with sticky GET_CUR also have corresponding sticky SET_CUR,
which I actually met more since the commit had been merged, there is
also a rare case that some devices may have volume mixers that responds
to SET_CUR properly but with its GET_CUR stubbed. This cause the sticky
check to consider the mixer to be sticky and unnecessarily disable it.
As the sticky check can't distinguish between sticky mixers and working
SET_CUR but broken GET_CUR, add QUIRK_FLAG_MIXER_GET_CUR_BROKEN to tell
that the device should fall into the second category when GET_CUR
returns a constant value. In this case, the sticky check becomes
non-fatal and only disables GET_CUR instead of the whole mixer. The
current volume will then be provided by the internal cache that stores
the last set volume.
An info message prompting users to check MIXER_GET_CUR_BROKEN for
potential sticky mixers is also added, so that users can learn how to do
some experiments to determine what's going on. If the mixer surprisingly
turns out to be non-sticky, they can submit a patch for a new quirk
table entry.

Add AD4884 compatible string to the AD4080 devicetree binding.
The AD4884 is a dual-channel, 16-bit, 40 MSPS SAR ADC, sharing the same
register map and interface as the AD4080 family. Like the AD4880, it
requires two SPI chip selects and two io-backends for its independent
ADC channels. The AD4884 differs from the AD4880 in resolution (16-bit
vs 20-bit), which requires distinct channel configuration in the driver,
precluding a fallback compatible.

The ADT7604 shares the same die as the LTC2984. It repurposes the
custom RTD sensor type (18) as a copper trace resistance sensor
and the custom thermistor type (27) as a leak detector, and
removes thermocouple, diode and direct ADC sensor types.
Add adi,adt7604 to the compatible list and introduce two new
sensor node types specific to this device:
- copper-trace@: maps to the custom RTD sensor type (18). Two
variants: sub-ohm (< 1 ohm, adi,copper-trace-sub-ohm boolean,
no custom table and excitation current) and standard (> 1 ohm,
required adi,custom-copper-trace table, optional excitation current
defaulting to the datasheet recommended value). Primary output
is resistance in ohms. For > 1 ohm copper traces with a custom table,
the chip also outputs temperature in millidegrees Celsius.
- leak-detector@: maps to the custom thermistor sensor type (27).
Takes a required adi,custom-leak-detector lookup table encoding
resistance (uOhm) against coverage data (%). Two outputs:
resistance in ohms and coverage in percent.
Separate node types are used rather than extending the existing
rtd@ and thermistor@ nodes because adi,custom-rtd is required
for sensor type 18, and several properties (adi,number-of-wires,
adi,rtd-curve, adi,rsense-share, adi,single-ended,
adi,current-rotate) have no meaning for the new sensor types, since
the configuration is hardcoded, and would need to be explicitly
forbidden or ignored in the driver.
allOf conditions are added to restrict thermocouple, diode, direct
ADC and active temperature nodes to non-ADT7604 devices, and to
restrict copper-trace and leak-detector nodes to the ADT7604
(some parts only).

Add a new channel type for sensors that report fractional coverage as
a percentage. The sysfs attribute is in_coverageY_raw; after applying
in_coverageY_scale the value is in percent. The first user is the
ADT7604 leak detector, where the value represents the portion of the
sensing element that is wetted.

Add Device Tree binding for the Broadcom APDS9999 ambient light
and proximity sensor. A separate binding file is used rather
than merging with avago,apds9300.yaml because the APDS9999
has an additional vcsel-supply for the VCSEL.
The APDS9999 features individual R, G, B, and IR channels with
a green channel that uses optical coating to approximate the
human eye spectral response for ALS/lux measurements. Calibrated
RGB color sensing is not yet implemented in the driver.

Update the "typical" triggered buffer example to use various new helpers
that have been added in the last year or so. This reflects current
expectations of how similar code should be written.
Also zero-initialize the buffer so we don't leak stack data. And fix a
missing semicolon while we're at it.

The Y-axis calibbias rows in adxl345.rst, adxl313.rst and adxl380.rst
use a different wording than the matching X-axis and Z-axis rows in
the same tables: the X/Z rows say "Calibration offset for the
X/Z-axis accelerometer channel." while the Y row says "Y-axis (or
y-axis) acceleration offset correction".
Make the Y-axis row match the other two so each driver's sysfs
table has consistent capitalisation and wording.
