We had an incorrect backport of 4591243102fa ("clk: at91: usb: propagate rate modification to the parent clk") that was fixed incorrectly in linux-3.18.y by 76723e7ed589 ("clk: at91: usb: fix determine_rate prototype") as shown by this warning: drivers/clk/at91/clk-usb.c:155:20: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] drivers/clk/at91/clk-usb.c:193:20: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type [-Wincompatible-pointer-types] This should fix it properly. clk: at91: pll: fix input range validity check

[ Upstream commit 6c7b03e1aef2e92176435f4fa562cc483422d20f ] The PLL impose a certain input range to work correctly, but it appears that this input range does not apply on the input clock (or parent clock) but on the input clock after it has passed the PLL divisor. [ Upstream commit 4591243102faa8de92da320edea47219901461e9 ] The at91sam9n12 and at91sam9x5 usb clocks do not propagate rate modification requests to their parents. This causes a bug when the PLLB is left uninitialized by the bootloader (PLL multiplier set to 0, or in other words, PLL rate = 0 Hz). Implement the determinate_rate method and propagate the change rate request to the parent clk. clk: at91: keep slow clk enabled to prevent system hang

commit dca1a4b5ff6e2c25adeff366eb06270dadeab3db upstream. All slow clk users are not properly claiming it (get + prepare + enable) before using it. If all users properly claiming this clock release it, the clock is disabled, but faulty users still depends on it, and the system hangs. This fix prevents the slow clock from being disabled, and should solve the hanging issue, but offending drivers should be patched to properly claim this clock. at91rm9200_clk_usb_set_rate might fail depending on the requested rate, because the parent_rate / rate remainder is not necessarily zero. Moreover, when rounding down the calculated rate we might alter the divisor calculation and end up with an invalid divisor. To solve those problems, accept a non zero remainder, and always round division to the closest result. Pull clock tree updates from Mike Turquette: "The clk tree changes for 3.18 are dominated by clock drivers. Mostly fixes and enhancements to existing drivers as well as new drivers. This tag contains a bit more arch code than I usually take due to some OMAP2+ changes. Additionally it contains the restart notifier handlers which are merged as a dependency into several trees. The PXA changes are the only messy part. Due to having a stable tree I had to revert one patch and follow up with one more fix near the tip of this tag. Some dead code is introduced but it will soon become live code after 3.18-rc1 is released as the rest of the PXA family is converted over to the common clock framework. Another trend in this tag is that multiple vendors have started to push the complexity of changing their CPU frequency into the clock driver, whereas this used to be done in CPUfreq drivers. Changes to the clk core include a generic gpio-clock type and a clk_set_phase() function added to the top-level clk.h api. Due to some confusion on the fbdev mailing list the kernel boot parameters documentation was updated to further explain the clk_ignore_unused parameter, which is often required by users of the simplefb driver.
