Use devm_add_action_or_reset() instead of devres_alloc() and devres_add(), which works the same. This will simplify the code. There is no functional changes. iio: core: Clean up device correctly on viio_trigger_alloc() failure

Move device_initialize() after all error paths in viio_trigger_alloc(). Previously, put_device() should have been called on all error paths after device_initialize(), but that was not done. Rather than adding put_device(), move device_initialize() to avoid needing to unwind it on error. This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union object instances: Single allocations: kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...) Array allocations: kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...) Flex array allocations: kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...) are replaced with: kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...) (where TYPE may also be *VAR) The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning "TYPE *". Signed-off-by: Kees Cook

iio: trigger: allow devices to suspend/resume theirs associated trigger

When a machine enters a sleep state while a trigger is associated to an iio device that trigger is not resumed after exiting the sleep state: provide iio device drivers a way to suspend and resume the associated trigger to solve the aforementioned bug. Each iio driver supporting external triggers is expected to call iio_device_suspend_triggering before suspending, and iio_device_resume_triggering upon resuming. The condition for checking if triggers belong to the same IIO device to set attached_own_device is currently inverted, causing iio_trigger_using_own() to return an incorrect value. Fix it by testing for the correct return value of iio_validate_own_trigger(). In `iio_trigger_detach_poll_func()` the return value from `trig->ops->set_trigger_state(trig, false)` is checked with `if (ret)`. However, in `iio_trigger_attach_poll_func()` it is checked with `if (ret < 0)`. Resolve this mismatch by only checking for `if (ret)` in both places.
