In commit [1] the concept of the root node in the qos hierarchy was
removed due to a bug with how tx_share worked. The side effect is that
in many places, there are now corner cases related to parent handling.
However, since that change, support for tc_bw was added and now, with
upcoming cross-esw support, the code is about to become even more
complicated, increasing the number of such corner cases.
Bring back the concept of the root node, to which all esw vports and
nodes are connected to. This benefits multiple operations which can
assume there's always a valid parent and don't have to do ternary
gymnastics to determine the correct esw to talk to.
As side effect, there's no longer a need to store the groups in the
qos domain, since normalization can simply iterate over all children of
the root node. Normalization gets simplified as a result.
There should be no functionality changes as a result of this change.

Qos cleanup is a complex affair, because of the two modes of operation
(legacy and switchdev).
Leaf QoS is removed:
1. In legacy mode by esw_vport_cleanup() -> mlx5_esw_qos_vport_disable()
2. In switchdev mode by mlx5_esw_offloads_devlink_port_unregister() ->
mlx5_esw_qos_vport_update_parent(). A little later in the same flow, the
calls in 1 happen but they are noops.
Zooming out a bit, from both mlx5_eswitch_disable_locked() and
mlx5_eswitch_disable_sriov() the leaves are destroyed before the nodes,
which is the reverse of what should be.
For SFs there's no devl_rate_nodes_destroy() call to unparent the
affected leaf.
Sanitize all of this by:
1. Destroying nodes before leaves in both legacy and switchdev mode.
2. Only removing vport qos from esw_vport_cleanup(), reachable from both
legacy and switchdev and also reachable by SF removal.
3. Unexpose mlx5_esw_qos_vport_update_parent(), which becomes internal
to qos.
4. Remove the WARN in mlx5_esw_qos_vport_disable().
This also takes care of a theoretical corner case, when
mlx5_esw_qos_vport_update_parent() tried to reattach the vport to
the original parent on failure, which can fail as well, leaving the
vport in a broken state.

Previously, the master device of the uplink netdev was queried for its
maximum link speed from the QoS layer, requiring the uplink_netdev mutex
and possibly the RTNL (if the call originated from the TC matchall
layer).
Acquiring these locks here is risky, as lock cycles could form. The
locking for the QoS layer is about to change, so to avoid issues,
replace the code querying the LAG's max link speed with the existing
infrastructure added in commit [1].
This simplifies this part and avoids potential lock cycles.
One caveat is that there's a new edge case, when the bond device is not
fully formed to represent the LAG device, the speed isn't calculated and
is left at 0. This now handled explicitly.

This commit makes use of the building blocks previously added to
implement cross-device rate nodes.
A new 'supported_cross_device_rate_nodes' bool is added to devlink_ops
which lets drivers advertise support for cross-device rate objects.
If enabled and if there is a common shared devlink instance, then:
- all rate objects will be stored in the top-most common nested instance
and
- rate objects can have parents from other devices sharing the same
common instance.
Storing rates in the common shared ancestor is safe, because it is
reference counted by its nested devlink instances, so it's guaranteed to
outlive them. Furthermore, the shared devlink infra guarantees a given
nested devlink hierarchy is managed by the same driver.
The parent devlink from info->ctx is not locked, so none of its mutable
fields can be used. But parent setting only requires comparing devlink
pointer comparisons. Additionally, since the shared devlink is locked,
other rate operations cannot concurrently happen.

Currently, a devlink rate's parent device is assumed to be the same as
the one where the devlink rate is created.
This patch changes that to allow rate commands to accept an additional
argument that specifies the parent dev. This will allow devlink rate
groups with leafs from other devices.

Upcoming changes to the rate commands need the parent devlink specified.
This change adds a nested 'parent-dev' attribute to the API and helpers
to obtain and put a reference to the parent devlink instance in
info->ctx.
To avoid deadlocks, the parent devlink is unlocked before obtaining the
main devlink instance that is the target of the request.
A reference to the parent is kept until the end of the request to avoid
it suddenly disappearing.
This means that this reference is of limited use without additional
protection.

Devlink rate leafs and nodes were stored in their respective devlink
objects pointed to by devlink_rate->devlink.
This patch removes that association by introducing the concept of
'rate node devlink', which is where all rates that could link to each
other are stored. For now this is the same as devlink_rate->devlink.
After this patch, the devlink rates stored in this devlink instance
could potentially be from multiple other devlink instances. So all rate
node manipulation code was updated to:
- correctly compare the actual devlink object during iteration.
- maybe acquire additional locks (noop for now).

Replace deprecated info->user_ptr[0]/[1] with a typed
devlink_nl_ctx struct stored in info->ctx. The struct aliases
the same union memory, so the migration is safe.
There are no functionality changes here.

cvm_oct_rx_shutdown calls free_irq and netif_napi_del without
disabling the napi instance first. As the free_irq only waits
for completion of hard interrupt handlers, the napi poll
function could still be active. If cvm_oct_remove proceeds to
free the plat structure (which holds the NAPI instances), the
active poll function will access freed memory, resulting in a
use-after-free crash.

The TX cleanup tasklet can be scheduled by the watchdog IRQ handler
to execute cvm_oct_tx_do_cleanup. There can be a pending tasklet in
the queue which might run after the cvm_oct_remove() frees net_device
structures, causing a use-after-free in cvm_oct_tx_do_cleanup() as it
iterates cvm_oct_device[] which is an array of netdevice pointers.
Add tasklet_kill() after free_irq() to ensure the tasklet is no longer
scheduled or running before teardown proceeds.

This scnprintf() uses the wrong limit. It should be "PAGE_SIZE - len"
instead of just PAGE_SIZE. We're not going to hit the limit in real
life since we are printing at most FBTFT_GAMMA_MAX_VALUES_TOTAL (128)
u32 values, however, it's still worth fixing.
Use sysfs_emit_at() to fix this since this is a sysfs file.

__gb_hid_output_raw_report() stores the result of gb_hid_set_report()
in ret and even adjusts it to account for the report ID byte, but then
always returns 0.
This hides Greybus transport errors from HID_REQ_SET_REPORT callers,
and makes hidraw report zero bytes written to user space on success,
although hid_hw_raw_request() is expected to return the number of
bytes transferred or a negative errno. The sibling GET_REPORT path,
__gb_hid_get_raw_report(), already follows this convention.
Return ret like the other HID transport drivers do.

gb_vibrator_probe() maps any device_create() failure to -EINVAL. This
loses the real errno returned by the driver core, such as -ENOMEM, and
makes probe failures harder to diagnose correctly.
Return PTR_ERR(dev) instead so callers receive the actual failure reason
while preserving the existing cleanup path.

gb_audio_gb_get_topology() fetches a topology blob of a module-supplied
size, and gbaudio_tplg_parse_data() then walks it by adding the
module-supplied size_dais, size_controls and size_widgets fields to
form the control, widget and route section offsets. Those le32 sizes
are never checked against the fetched blob, so a module reporting a
small topology size but large section sizes makes the offsets point
past the allocation, and parsing reads out of bounds.
Reject a topology whose section sizes do not fit within the fetched
size before it is parsed.

In gbaudio_module_update(), the widget id is validated earlier in the
function to ensure it is either snd_soc_dapm_aif_in or
snd_soc_dapm_aif_out.
Remove the redundant else-if check for snd_soc_dapm_aif_out. The
remaining branch can only handle snd_soc_dapm_aif_out, which avoids
a compiler warning about a potentially uninitialized variable.

The sscanf() function returns the number of successfully matched input
items, not a negative error code. Compare the return value directly
with the expected number of conversions (3) instead of storing it in
'ret' and returning it as an error code, which leads to returning
a positive value on failure.

The sm750 frame buffer driver depends on FB_IOMEM_FOPS, but its Kconfig
somehow misses it.
Fix it by making FB_SM750 select FB_IOMEM_FOPS, as other frame buffer
drivers do.

struct init_status duplicates struct initchip_param and is only used
within the sm750fb driver.
Replace the remaining users of struct init_status with
struct initchip_param, remove the duplicate structure and eliminate
the unnecessary cast in hw_sm750_inithw().

The block at the top of sm750.c declares lynxfb_ops_write() and
lynxfb_ops_read() inside a commented-out #ifdef __BIG_ENDIAN guard.
Neither function is defined anywhere in the driver, so the block
is dead. Remove it.

In sm750fb_setup and sm750fb_set_drv functions, the dualview
related code is guarded by `sm750_dev->fb_count > 1` condition.
That value is updated only after each framebuffer is registered,
while both guards are used before any increment.
Current flow:
lynxfb_pci_probe()
sm750fb_setup() // fb_count is 0
for each fb:
sm750fb_framebuffer_alloc()
lynxfb_set_fbinfo()
sm750fb_set_drv() // fb_count is 0 or 1
register_framebuffer()
sm750_dev->fb_count++; // fb_count is incremented
Thus even if `dualview=1` parameter is passed down to the driver,
fb_count is never > 1 at either check, so dualview dataflows are
not selected and crtc->vidmem_size is never halved.
Use `g_dualview` global variable instead of fb_count > 1 to correctly
enable dualview capabilities.

The PF SR-IOV enable path caches VF pci_dev pointers in
dpiring_to_vfpcidev_lut[] by iterating with pci_get_device(). Those
entries do not own a reference, because the iterator drops the previous
device reference on each step. The cached pointer is then dereferenced
later when handling OCTEON_VF_FLR_REQUEST.
Replace the cached VF mapping with runtime lookup on the mailbox DPI
ring: derive the VF index from q_no, resolve the VF via exported PCI
IOV helpers, validate it with the PF pointer and VF ID, then issue
pcie_flr() and drop the reference with pci_dev_put(). Remove the
unused VF lookup table initialization and cleanup.

Neither Linux drivers nor DT bindings ever described or used clock-names
and reset-names for this SoC. The binding allows clock-names only for
atmel,at91sam9g45-ehci and atmel,at91rm9200-ohci, but not for HiSilicon.
reset-names were never allowed.
Drop them from DTS to fix dtbs_check warnings:

When CONFIG_IP_MULTIPLE_TABLES is disabled, fib_new_table()
is fib_get_table(), and no new table is created.
Let's move net->ipv4.fib_table_hash_lock under

The rnpgbe mailbox exchanges data through 32-bit MMIO registers in
little-endian wire format. The original code had two problems:
1. FW structs (with __le16/__le32 fields) were cast to (u32 *)
before reaching the mailbox transport, hiding the endian
annotations from sparse.
2. No cpu_to_le32()/le32_to_cpu() conversion was done between
CPU-endian MMIO values and the little-endian payload, causing
data corruption on big-endian systems.
Fix by adding the missing byte-order conversions in the transport
layer and introducing union wrappers (mbx_fw_cmd_req_u,
mbx_fw_cmd_reply_u) that overlay each FW struct with a __le32
dwords[] array. Callers fill named fields using cpu_to_le16/32(),
then pass dwords[] to the transport, which now takes explicit
__le32 * instead of u32 *. This eliminates all pointer casts on
the mailbox data path and lets sparse verify the conversions.

brcmf_notify_auth_frame_rx() takes the frame length from the firmware
event and copies the frame body with the management header offset
subtracted:

mgmt_frame_len - offsetof(struct ieee80211_mgmt, u));
The only length check is e->datalen >= sizeof(*rxframe), so mgmt_frame_len
can be anything from 0 up. offsetof(struct ieee80211_mgmt, u) is 24. When
mgmt_frame_len is below that, the subtraction wraps as an unsigned value to
a huge length. The memcpy then runs far past the kzalloc'd buffer. A
malicious or malfunctioning AP can make the frame short during the
external SAE auth exchange, so this is a remotely triggered heap overflow.
Reject frames shorter than the management header offset before the copy.

An association request or response frame is generally delivered to the
driver without a TX queue object. However, with drivers that do encryption
offload and couple the key with a transmit queue, this means that the
frames are not being encrypted.
Fix this by routing the association frames to the management TXQ.
This will allow the driver to set up the required resources before
transmitting the association frame, e.g., set up keys etc.

mac80211_hwsim_stop() drops any frames left in data->pending. The loop
currently checks skb_queue_empty() and then dequeues separately.
That split is racy with TX status handling, which can remove a pending
frame under the queue lock. If the last entry is removed after the empty
check, skb_dequeue() returns NULL and the stop path passes that NULL skb
to ieee80211_free_txskb().
Use skb_dequeue() as the loop condition instead. The dequeue result is the
object that stop owns and frees, and a concurrent status completion that
empties the queue simply makes the loop terminate.

mac80211_hwsim_free() removes each radio from hwsim_radios before calling
mac80211_hwsim_del_radio(), but leaves the matching hwsim_radios_rht entry
in place until the whole table is destroyed.
Other radio removal paths remove both the list entry and data->rht while
holding hwsim_radio_lock, before dropping the lock and deleting the radio.
Do the same here so the all-radio cleanup path follows the same object
visibility ordering.
This helper is used while all radios are being torn down, either after
callback users have already been unregistered or while module init is
unwinding, so no hwsim_radios_generation update is needed.

A peer may send a zero-length TLS application_data record; TLS 1.3
explicitly permits these as a traffic-analysis countermeasure (RFC
8446, Section 5.1). After decryption such a record has full_len ==
0. tls_sw_read_sock() hands it to the read_actor, which has no
payload to consume and returns zero. The loop treats a zero return
as backpressure (used <= 0), requeues the skb at the head of
rx_list, and stops. rx_list is serviced head-first on the next
call, so the empty record is dequeued, fails the same way, and is
requeued again; every later record on the connection is blocked
behind it.
tls_sw_recvmsg() does not stall on this: a zero-length data record
copies nothing and falls through to consume_skb(). Mirror that in
the read_sock() path by recognizing an empty data record before
the actor runs, consuming it, and continuing.

brcmf_sdio_probe() stores the newly allocated bus in sdiodev->bus before
allocating the ordered workqueue. If that allocation fails, the function
jumps to fail and calls brcmf_sdio_remove().
brcmf_sdio_remove() unconditionally cancels bus->datawork. Initialize the
work item before the first failure path that can reach brcmf_sdio_remove(),
so the cleanup path always observes a valid work object.
This issue was found by our static analysis tool and then confirmed by
manual review of the probe error path and the remove-time work drain. The
problem pattern is an early setup failure that reaches a cleanup helper
which cancels an embedded work item before its initializer has run.
A QEMU PoC forced alloc_ordered_workqueue() to fail at the same point in
brcmf_sdio_probe(), before INIT_WORK(&bus->datawork) is reached. The
resulting fail path calls brcmf_sdio_remove(), and DEBUG_OBJECTS reports
the invalid work drain with brcmf_sdio_probe() and brcmf_sdio_remove() in
the stack.

On error, xlog_recover_reorder_trans() splices the leftover sort_list
items back to trans->r_itemq inside the loop before breaking out. The
loop tail already splices the per-fate lists back, so do sort_list there
too, guarded by the assert that used to sit after the loop.
No functional change. It drops the duplicated splice so the next patch
can add another error case without repeating it.
