Add AD4883 compatible string to the AD4080 devicetree binding. The AD4883 is a dual-channel, 16-bit, 40 MSPS SAR ADC, sharing the same register map and interface as the AD4080 family. Like the AD4880, it requires two SPI chip selects and two io-backends for its independent ADC channels. The AD4883 differs from the AD4880 in resolution (16-bit vs 20-bit), which requires distinct channel configuration in the driver, precluding a fallback compatible. Mahua shares the same QREF TX/RPT/RX component naming as Glymur, but has a different topology: a single QREF block fed by REFGEN4 only, rather than the two independent blocks fed by REFGEN3 and REFGEN4 on Glymur. 2026-07-23dt-bindings: clock: qcom: Move glymur TCSR to own bindingQiang Yu
The QREF block supplies reference clocks to PCIe PHYs and requires dedicated LDO supplies to operate. The digital control interface for QREF (clkref_en registers) resides in TCSR on glymur. Since QREF has no dedicated DT node of its own, these supply properties are placed in the TCSR node which acts as the control interface for QREF. Add a dedicated binding file for qcom,glymur-tcsr and document the supply properties. As this binding will grow to cover more SoCs, mark the required supplies per compatible using an allOf/if/then conditional. The EcoNet EN7528 MIPS SoC integrates an MT7530 Gigabit switch, memory-mapped in the SoC register space like the built-in switches of the MediaTek MT7988 and Airoha EN7581/AN7583 SoCs. Its four user ports are connected to integrated Gigabit PHYs and its CPU port is connected internally to the SoC Ethernet MAC. Those three switches are MT7531-based, whereas the EN7528 has a genuine MT7530 switch core (its chip revision register reads 0x7530). The two generations differ in their register programming - for example the CPU port is selected through the MT7530-style MFC register rather than the MT7531 CFC register - so the EN7528 is not compatible with the existing switch compatibles and cannot fall back to one of them. Add the econet,en7528-switch compatible, with the same constraints as the other built-in switches. current-limit controls Add three optional properties to the MAX8903 charger binding to describe board-level GPIO control of the DC and USB input current limits: DC input (TA / DOK pin): - dc-current-limit-gpios (1..4 GPIOs): mux control lines feeding the MAX8903 IDC resistor mux; - dc-current-limit-mapping (uint32-matrix of {microamps, gpio_bit_pattern} pairs): the available current levels and the GPIO bit pattern that selects each level. USB input (USB / UOK pin): - usb-current-limit-gpios: a single GPIO driving the IUSB pin. The IUSB pin is silicon-fixed by the MAX8903 datasheet (Pin Description): low selects 100 mA, high selects 500 mA. Only the GPIO mapping is board-specific; the current values are not exposed in DT. A dependentRequired block ties dc-current-limit-gpios and dc-current-limit-mapping together so an incomplete DT cannot pass validation with only one half of the pair. These let userspace clamp the input draw via the standard POWER_SUPPLY_PROP_INPUT_CURRENT_LIMIT power_supply attribute. The HP TouchPad uses both: two TLMM lines select between 0.5 A, 1.0 A, 1.5 A and 2.0 A DC input current limits behind the MAX8903B charger, and a third TLMM line picks the IUSB 100 mA / 500 mA limit. These are purely additive; existing platforms remain unaffected. 2026-07-21ALSA: hda: Add AW88399 HDA side codec driver for Lenovo LegionMark Brown
Marco Giunta <marco_giunta@outlook.it> says: Several Lenovo Legion laptops (Pro 7i 16IAX10H, Y9000P IAX10, Pro 7 16AFR10H, R9000P ADR10) use AWINIC AW88399 smart amplifiers to drive their bass woofers, connected via I2C as side codecs to a Realtek ALC287 HDA codec. Without a driver for these amplifiers, only the tweeters produce sound, resulting in quiet and tinny audio. An ASoC driver for the AW88399 already exists in-tree (sound/soc/codecs/aw88399.c), contributed by AWINIC, but it targets ASoC topologies and cannot drive the chip when it sits behind an HDA controller. This series adds a proper HDA side codec driver, following the established pattern used by the CS35L41, CS35L56, and TAS2781 drivers. Patch 1 extracts the device-level functions from the existing ASoC driver into a shared library module (SND_SOC_AW88399_LIB) with a shared header at include/sound/aw88399.h, following the CS35L41 precedent (SND_SOC_CS35L41_LIB / include/sound/cs35l41.h). This avoids a build-time dependency on the full ASoC codec module and ensures clean separation between the ASoC and HDA drivers. Patches 2 through 5 prepare the shared library for use on ACPI-based HDA systems: patch 2 extends channel assignment to work without Device Tree properties, patch 3 adds a per-instance flag to bypass an unreliable hardware status bit on certain boards, patch 4 adds a firmware reload flag so that the HDA driver can signal that DSP firmware needs to be re-uploaded after system sleep, and patch 5 adds a channel setter so that the HDA driver can configure the amplifier without depending on ASoC-internal device headers. NOTE ON FIRMWARE: This driver requires the firmware file aw88399_acf.bin, which uses the same format and request path as the existing ASoC driver. This firmware is not yet available in the linux-firmware repository. We intend to coordinate with the AWINIC maintainers (CC'd) to arrange its inclusion. In the meantime, users can extract the firmware from the Windows driver and place it in /lib/firmware/. The Versal NET clock controller compatible is specified as: compatible = "xlnx,versal-net-clk", "xlnx,versal-clk"; with xlnx,versal-clk listed as fallback. The original binding had two separate if/then blocks - one matching xlnx,versal-clk (2 clocks) and another matching xlnx,versal-net-clk (3 clocks). Since both compatible strings are present, both conditions matched simultaneously and JSON Schema applied the more restrictive 2-clock constraint, causing false "too long" validation errors for Versal NET. Define clock-names at the top-level and use if/then only to constrain the clock count (2 for Versal, 3 for Versal NET). Add a dedicated example for the Versal NET 3-clock configuration. 2026-07-21dt-bindings: ethernet: eswin: add EIC7700 eth1 RX clock inversion variantZhi Li
The EIC7700 SoC integrates two GMAC instances. The eth1 MAC exhibits different RX clock sampling characteristics due to silicon-inherent timing behavior. The eth1 MAC has a fixed, non-configurable RX clock-to-data skew at the MAC input in the order of 4-5 ns. This cannot be compensated solely by the standard MAC internal delay configuration and PHY delay, and RX clock inversion is required at 1000Mbps for correct sampling. The eth1 TX path also includes a fixed silicon-inherent delay of approximately 2 ns. This delay is always present and cannot be disabled. It is therefore part of the effective transmit timing observed on the wire. For the eth1 variant, the valid tx-internal-delay-ps values include this fixed delay component. Consequently, the effective range becomes 2000-4540 ps (approximately 2000 ps fixed delay plus 0-2540 ps programmable delay). Introduce a dedicated compatible string "eswin,eic7700-qos-eth-clk-inversion" to represent the eth1 variant, allowing the driver to apply RX clock inversion only when required by hardware variant selection. This keeps SoC-level differentiation without exposing silicon-fixed skew as configurable device tree parameters. To reflect this, model the TX internal delay as a base 0-4540 ps range, and constrain valid values per compatible using conditional schema rules. Update the binding schema as follows: - Define tx-internal-delay-ps as a base range: 0-4540 ps - Add compatible-specific constraints using if/then rules: * eswin,eic7700-qos-eth: max 2540 ps * eswin,eic7700-qos-eth-clk-inversion: minimum 2000 ps (effective range 2000-4540 ps) No functional change for existing "eswin,eic7700-qos-eth" users. Describe an AMD MicroBlaze/V BRAM-based remote processor controlled through the remoteproc framework. The binding models a soft-core processor subsystem instantiated in AMD programmable logic and using dual-port BRAM for firmware storage and execution. The remoteproc device is represented as a child node whose reg property describes the firmware memory window in the processor-local address space. The parent bus node provides standard devicetree address translation through ranges so Linux can access the same BRAM through the system physical address space. A clock input feeds the soft-core processor subsystem, and an active-low reset GPIO holds the processor in reset until firmware loading completes. The firmware-name property is optional. On some SoCs without an IOMMU behind the PCIe controller, the PCIe controller memory access could be limited to a small region by the firmware configuring a memory protection unit. This memory region must be assigned to the PCIe controller so that the OS knows to use that region. Otherwise PCIe devices would not work properly. Allow the memory-region property with one item pointing to a restricted DMA buffer.
