Split ahb.c into a common module (ahb.c) and a Wi-Fi 7 specific module
(ahb_wifi7.c). Retain shared logic-such as probe and initialization
sequences-in ahb.c to support reuse across hardware families.
Move Wi-Fi 7 specific initialization and configuration routines to
ahb_wifi7.c and register them via callbacks.
This modular approach improves code organization and prepares the
driver for scalable support of additional hardware families.

Rename ahb_hif_ops structure to remove the IPQ5322 qualifier and reflect
its generic applicability across multiple targets. Clarify its role as a
container for common HIF callbacks.
This renaming is part of a broader effort to modularize the codebase

Move CE service map and target configuration from hw.c to ce_wifi7.c.

Refactor pci.c to split common and hardware family specific components.
Retain shared logic such as probe and initialization sequences in common
pci.c to support reuse across device families and move Wi-Fi 7 specific
initialization and configuration to a new pci_wifi7.c file. Register
device specific routines via callbacks to keep the common PCI code
generic and extensible for future hardware families.
This improves maintainability and prepare the codebase for additional
device family support.

Fix missing configuration for LAN865x silicon revisions B0 and B1 as per
Microchip Application Note AN1760 (Rev F, June 2024).
The Timer Increment register was not being set, which is required for
accurate timestamping. As per the application note, configure the MAC to
set timestamping at the end of the Start of Frame Delimiter (SFD), and
set the Timer Increment register to 40 ns (corresponding to a 25 MHz
internal clock).

This fixes an issue where the transmit queue is started implicitly only
the very first time the device is registered. When the device is taken
down and brought back up again (using `ip` or `ifconfig`), the transmit
queue is not restarted, causing packet transmission to hang.
Adding an explicit call to netif_start_queue() in lan865x_net_open()
ensures the transmit queue is properly started every time the device
is reopened.

Specifying the counter action is not enough, as it is used by multiple
counters that were allocated in a bulk. By omitting the offset, rules
will be associated with a different counter from the same bulk.
Subsequently, the CT subsystem checks the correct counter, assumes that
no traffic has triggered the rule, and ages out the rule. The end result
is intermittent offloading of long lived connections, as rules are aged
out then promptly re-added.
Fix this by specifying the correct offset along with the counter rule.

During table creation, caller passes a UID using ft_attr. The UID
value was ignored, which leads to problems when the caller sets the
UID to a non-zero value, such as SHARED_RESOURCE_UID (0xffff) - the
internal FT objects will be created with UID=0.

If rule creation failed due to a full queue, due to timeout
in polling for completion, or due to matcher being in resize,
don't try to initiate rehash sequence - rehash would have
failed anyway.

While moving the rules during rehash, CQ is not drained. The flush
and drain happens only when all the rules of a certain queue have been
moved. This behaviour can lead to accumulating large quantity of rules
that haven't got their completion yet, and eventually will fill up
the queue and will cause the rehash to fail.
Fix this problem by requiring drain once the number of outstanding
completions reaches a certain threshold.

Moving rules from matcher to matcher should not fail.
However, if it does fail due to various reasons, the error flow
should allow the kernel to continue functioning (albeit with broken
steering rules) instead of going into series of soft lock-ups or
some other problematic behaviour.
Similar to the simple rules, complex rules rehash logic suffers
from the same problems. This patch fixes the error flow for moving
complex rules:
- If new rule creation fails before it was even enqeued, do not
poll for completion
- If TIMEOUT happened while moving the rule, no point trying
to poll for completions for other rules. Something is broken,
completion won't come, just abort the rehash sequence.
- If some other completion with error received, don't give up.
Continue handling rest of the rules to minimize the damage.
- Make sure that the first error code that was received will
be actually returned to the caller instead of replacing it
with the generic error code.
All the aforementioned issues stem from the same bad error flow,
so no point fixing them one by one and leaving partially broken
code - fixing them in one patch.

Tell the MAC not to discard frames that fail TCP/IP checksum
validation.
By default, when the hardware checksum engine (CoE) is enabled,
dwmac4 silently drops any packet where the offload engine detects
a checksum error. These frames are not reported to the driver and
are not counted in any statistics as dropped packets.
Set the MTL_OP_MODE_DIS_TCP_EF bit when initializing the Rx channel so
that all packets are delivered, even if they failed hardware checksum
validation. CoE remains enabled, but instead of dropping such frames,
the driver propagates the error status and marks the skb with
CHECKSUM_NONE. This allows the stack to verify and drop the packet
while updating statistics.

Propagate hardware checksum failures from the descriptor parser to the
caller.
Currently, dwmac4_wrback_get_rx_status() updates stats when the Rx
descriptor signals an IP header or payload checksum error, but it does
not reflect this in its return value. The higher-level stmmac_rx() code
therefore cannot tell that hardware checksum validation failed.
Set the csum_none flag in the returned status when either
RDES1_IP_HDR_ERROR or RDES1_IP_PAYLOAD_ERROR is present. This aligns
dwmac4 with enh_desc_coe_rdes0() and lets stmmac_rx() mark the skb as
CHECKSUM_NONE for software verification.
This is a preparatory step for disabling the hardware filter that drops
frames which do not pass checksum validation.

The stmmac_rx function would previously set skb->ip_summed to
CHECKSUM_UNNECESSARY if hardware checksum offload (CoE) was enabled
and the packet was of a known IP ethertype.
However, this logic failed to check if the hardware had actually
reported a checksum error. The hardware status, indicating a header or
payload checksum failure, was being ignored at this stage. This could
cause corrupt packets to be passed up the network stack as valid.
This patch corrects the logic by checking the `csum_none` status flag,
which is set when the hardware reports a checksum error. If this flag
is set, skb->ip_summed is now correctly set to CHECKSUM_NONE,
ensuring the kernel's network stack will perform its own validation and
properly handle the corrupt packet.

The clk_tx_i clock must be supplied to the MAC for successful
initialization. On TH1520 SoC, the clock is provided by an internal
divider configured through GMAC_PLLCLK_DIV register when using RGMII
interface. However, currently we don't setup the divider before
initialization of the MAC, resulting in DMA reset failures if the
bootloader/firmware doesn't enable the divider,

Let's simply write GMAC_PLLCLK_DIV_EN to GMAC_PLLCLK_DIV to enable the
divider before MAC initialization. Note that for reconfiguring the
divisor, the divider must be disabled first and re-enabled later to make
sure the new divisor take effect.
The exact clock rate doesn't affect MAC's initialization according to my
test. It's set to the speed required by RGMII when the linkspeed is
1Gbps and could be reclocked later after link is up if necessary.

Since the driver always enables tx bounce buffer,
there are minimum values for `copybreak` and `tx_spare_buf_size`.
This patch will check and reject configurations
with values smaller than these minimums.

The RTL8226-CG can make use of the serdes option mode feature to
dynamically switch between SGMII and 2500base-X. From what is
known the setup sequence is much simpler with no magic values.
Convert the exiting config_init() into a helper that configures
the PHY depending on generation 1 or 2. Call the helper from two
separated new config_init() functions.
Finally convert the phy_driver specs of the RTL8226-CG to make
use of the new configuration and switch over to the extended
read_status() function to dynamically change the interface
according to the serdes mode.
Remark! The logic could be simpler if the serdes mode could be
set before all other generation 2 magic values. Due to missing
RTL8221B test hardware the mmd command order was kept.

A crash can occur if an ethtool operation is invoked
after shutdown() is called.
shutdown() is invoked during system shutdown to stop DMA operations
without performing expensive deallocations. It is discouraged to
unregister the netdev in this path, so the device may still be visible
to userspace and kernel helpers.
In gve, shutdown() tears down most internal data structures. If an
ethtool operation is dispatched after shutdown(), it will dereference
freed or NULL pointers, leading to a kernel panic. While graceful
shutdown normally quiesces userspace before invoking the reboot
syscall, forced shutdowns (as observed on GCP VMs) can still trigger
this path.
Fix by calling netif_device_detach() in shutdown().
This marks the device as detached so the ethtool ioctl handler
will skip dispatching operations to the driver.

Going forward skb_dst_set will assert that skb dst_entry
is empty during skb_dst_set. skb_dstref_steal is added to reset
existing entry without doing refcnt. Chelsio driver is
doing extra dst management via skb_dst_set(NULL). Replace
these calls with skb_dstref_steal.

Syzbot reported shift-out-of-bounds exception on MDIO bus initialization.
The PHY address should be masked to 5 bits (0-31). Without this
mask, invalid PHY addresses could be used, potentially causing issues
with MDIO bus operations.
Fix this by masking the PHY address with 0x1f (31 decimal) to ensure
it stays within the valid range.

There was a problem when we received frames and the frames were
timestamped. The driver is configured to store the nanosecond part of
the timestmap in the ptp reserved bits and it would take the second part
by reading the LTC. The problem is that when reading the LTC we are in
atomic context and to read the second part will go over mdio bus which
might sleep, so we get an error.
The fix consists in actually put all the frames in a queue and start the
aux work and in that work to read the LTC and then calculate the full
received time.

improve memory efficiency.
This patch enhances RX buffer handling in the mana driver by allocating
pages from a page pool and slicing them into MTU-sized fragments, rather
than dedicating a full page per packet. This approach is especially
beneficial on systems with large base page sizes like 64KB.
Key improvements:
- Proper integration of page pool for RX buffer allocations.
- MTU-sized buffer slicing to improve memory utilization.
- Reduce overall per Rx queue memory footprint.
- Automatic fallback to full-page buffers when:
* Jumbo frames are enabled (MTU > PAGE_SIZE / 2).
* The XDP path is active, to avoid complexities with fragment reuse.
Testing on VMs with 64KB pages shows around 200% throughput improvement.
Memory efficiency is significantly improved due to reduced wastage in page
allocations. Example: We are now able to fit 35 rx buffers in a single 64kb
page for MTU size of 1500, instead of 1 rx buffer per page previously.
Tested:
- iperf3, iperf2, and nttcp benchmarks.
- Jumbo frames with MTU 9000.
- Native XDP programs (XDP_PASS, XDP_DROP, XDP_TX, XDP_REDIRECT) for
testing the XDP path in driver.
- Memory leak detection (kmemleak).
- Driver load/unload, reboot, and stress scenarios.

To enable HSR / Switch offload, certain configurations are needed.
Currently they are done inside icssg_change_mode(). This function only
gets called if we move from one mode to another without bringing the
links up / down.
Once in HSR / Switch mode, if we bring the links down and bring it back
up again. The callback sequence is,
- emac_ndo_stop()
Firmwares are stopped
- emac_ndo_open()
Firmwares are loaded
In this path icssg_change_mode() doesn't get called and as a result the
configurations needed for HSR / Switch is not done.
To fix this, put all these configurations in a separate function
icssg_enable_fw_offload() and call this from both icssg_change_mode()
and emac_ndo_open()

The 'exclude_qbv' bit in the designcfg_debug1 register varies across
MACB/GEM IP revisions, making direct probing unreliable for detecting
QBV support. This patch introduces a capability-based approach for
consistent QBV feature identification across the IP family.

Implement Time-Aware Traffic Scheduling (TAPRIO) offload support
for Cadence MACB/GEM ethernet controllers to enable IEEE 802.1Qbv
compliant time-sensitive networking (TSN) capabilities.
Key Features:
1. Enhanced Scheduled Traffic (ENST) Register Management
- Per-queue ENST registers: ENST_START_TIME, ENST_ON_TIME, ENST_OFF_TIME
- Centralized control via ENST_CONTROL for gate enable/disable
- Infrastructure enhancements:
* Extended macb_queue structure with ENST timing control registers
* Mapped ENST register offsets into queue management framework
* Introduced macb_queue_enst_config for per-entry TC configuration

ppp_fill_forward_path() has two race conditions:
1. The ppp->channels list can change between list_empty() and
list_first_entry(), as ppp_lock() is not held. If the only channel
is deleted in ppp_disconnect_channel(), list_first_entry() may
access an empty head or a freed entry, and trigger a panic.
2. pch->chan can be NULL. When ppp_unregister_channel() is called,
pch->chan is set to NULL before pch is removed from ppp->channels.
Fix these by using a lockless RCU approach:
- Use list_first_or_null_rcu() to safely test and access the first list
entry.
- Convert list modifications on ppp->channels to their RCU variants and
add synchronize_net() after removal.
- Check for a NULL pch->chan before dereferencing it.

Add support for XDP statistics collection and reporting via rtnl_link
and netdev_queue API.
For XDP programs without frags support, fbnic requires MTU to be less
than the HDS threshold. If an over-sized frame is received, the frame
is dropped and recorded as rx_length_errors reported via ip stats to
highlight that this is an error.

Add support for allocating XDP_TX queues and configuring ring support.
FBNIC has been designed with XDP support in mind. Each Tx queue has 2
submission queues and one completion queue, with the expectation that
one of the submission queues will be used by the stack, and the other
by XDP. XDP queues are populated by XDP_TX and start from index 128
in the TX queue array.
The support for XDP_TX is added in the next patch.

Add basic support for attaching an XDP program to the device and support
for PASS/DROP/ABORT actions. In fbnic, buffers are always mapped as
DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL.
The BPF program pointer can be read either on a per-packet basis or on a
per-NAPI poll basis. Both approaches are functionally equivalent, in the
current code. Stick to per-packet as it limits number of arguments we need
to pass around.
On the XDP hot path, check that packets with fragments are only allowed
when multi-buffer support is enabled for the XDP program. Ideally, this
check should not be necessary because ndo_bpf verifies that for XDP
programs without multi-buff support, MTU is less than the hds_thresh.
However, the MTU currently does not enforce the receive size which would
require cleaning up the data path and bouncing the link. For practical
reasons, prioritize the ability to enter and exit BPF mode with different
MTU sizes without requiring a full reconfig.

Remove local fields that track frags state and instead store this
information directly in the shinfo struct. This change is necessary
because the current implementation can lead to inaccuracies in certain
scenarios, such as when using XDP multi-buff support. Specifically, the
XDP program may update nr_frags without updating the local variables,
resulting in an inconsistent state.

Fbnic currently reserves a minimum of 64B headroom, but this is
insufficient for inserting additional headers (e.g., IPV6) via XDP, as
only 24 bytes are available for adjustment. To address this limitation,
increase the headroom to a larger value while ensuring better page use.
Although the resulting headroom (192B) is smaller than the recommended
value (256B), forcing the headroom to 256B would require aligning to
256B (as opposed to the current 128B), which can push the max headroom
to 511B.

Add support for configuring the header data split threshold.
For fbnic, the tcp data split support is enabled all the time.
Fbnic supports a maximum buffer size of 4KB. However, the reservation
for the headroom, tailroom, and padding reduce the max header size
accordingly.
