The cookie returned by xa_alloc() in iommufd_fault_fops_read() is per fault
group, but the inner copy_to_user() runs per fault inside the group. If a
copy fails mid-group, xa_erase clears the cookie and the group is restored
to the deliver list, yet done is not rolled back. The function returns the
partial byte count, with the successfully copied faults sitting at offsets
below done carrying the now-erased cookie. The next read() then re-fetches
the group, allocates a fresh cookie, and re-delivers every fault including
the ones already copied; userspace sees duplicates carrying the new cookie,
and a stale cookie that can never be responded to.
Use a local group_done variable that tracks the per-group progress inside
the inner loop, and only commit done = group_done after the inner loop has
finished successfully. On a copy_to_user failure the outer break skips the
commit, so done remains at its prior start-of-group baseline; the partial
bytes already written past done are undefined to userspace per the read(2)
contract, and the next read re-delivers the whole group atomically.

On a copy_to_user() failure inside the inner list_for_each_entry, only the
inner loop breaks; the outer while re-fetches the just-restored fault group
and retries the failing copy_to_user() forever, spinning the reader at 100%
CPU with fault->mutex held.
Check rc after the inner loop and break the outer while as well.

The read count must be large enough to hold one fault or a group's faults.
iommufd_fault_fops_read() does not validate the count, but returns 0 as if
the read had succeeded while leaving the pending fault in the queue.
Return -EINVAL in the undersize cases.

When the kzalloc_obj() fails in iommufd_veventq_deliver_fetch(), it returns
NULL, falsely advertising to userspace that the queue is empty.
Propagate the -ENOMEM properly to the caller.

vEVENT, it must also hold the trailing data following the header.
iommufd_veventq_fops_read() does not validate the count, but returns 0 as
if the read had succeeded while leaving the pending event in the queue.

When the first event copy fails, rc = -EFAULT will not be reported as done
is set to the length of the copied header.
Rewind it to report rc correctly.

When the system clocksource is kvmclock or Hyper-V (not the TSC directly),
vmclock_get_crosststamp() falls through to a separate get_cycles() call,
losing the atomic pairing between the system time snapshot and the TSC
reading.
Now that ktime_get_snapshot_id() populates hw_cycles with the underlying
TSC value for derived clocksources, use it when available. This gives a
perfect (system_time, tsc) pairing for the device time calculation.
The SUPPORT_KVMCLOCK wrapper is still needed to convert the TSC into
kvmclock nanoseconds for system_counter->cycles, because otherwise
get_device_system_crosststamp() can't interpret the result against the
system clock.

Implement the read_snapshot() callback for the Hyper-V TSC page clock-
source. This returns the derived 10MHz reference time (for timekeeping)
while also providing the raw TSC value that was used to compute it.
When the TSC page is valid, hv_read_tsc_page_tsc() atomically captures both
values from a single RDTSC inside the sequence-counter protected read. When
the TSC page is invalid (sequence == 0), the hw_csid and hw_cycles are set
to zero indicating no value is available.
This enables ktime_get_snapshot_id() to provide the raw TSC to consumers
like KVM's master clock when running nested guests under Hyper-V.

The cycle register is always u32, so cycles_to_ns() can take a u32
instead of a u64. With that narrowing, cycles * NSEC_PER_SEC is at most
u32::MAX * 1e9 (~4.3e18), which fits in u64 without overflow. The
saturating arithmetic is therefore no longer needed, and the ceiling
division can use Rust's u64::div_ceil() directly instead of the
open-coded numerator/denominator form.
This also drops the TODO referring to a future
mul_u64_u64_div_u64_roundup kernel helper, which is no longer required.

Add support for Intel Key Protection Technology (KPT) on QAT GEN6
devices.
KPT protects private keys from exposure by keeping them wrapped
(encrypted) while in use, in-flight, and at rest. Keys remain in wrapped
form and are not exposed in plaintext in host memory. This feature
operates outside of the Linux crypto framework and kernel keyring.
Extend the firmware admin interface to enable and configure KPT. During
device initialisation, if KPT is enabled, the driver sends an admin
message to firmware to enable KPT mode and configure parameters such as
the maximum number of SWK (Symmetric Wrapping Key) slots and the SWK
time-to-live (TTL).
Expose KPT configuration via a new sysfs attribute group, "qat_kpt", and
add ABI documentation.

nx_crypto_ctx_shash_exit calls nx_crypto_ctx_exit with crypto_shash_ctx(...)
but crypto_shash_ctx gives a nx_crypto_ctx *, not a crypto_tfm *.
Fix the type in nx_crypto_ctx_exit and drop the bogus crypto_tfm_ctx
call.

This reverts commit 40d2f5820951dee818d05c14677277048bd85f9f.
Removing the try_vesa_interface gate caused a backlight regression on
panels whose VBT correctly reports INTEL_BACKLIGHT_DISPLAY_DDI and whose
PWM path is the actual backlight control, but whose DPCD optimistically
advertises DP_EDP_BACKLIGHT_AUX_ENABLE_CAP / _BRIGHTNESS_AUX_SET_CAP.
After the commit such panels silently bind to the VESA AUX backlight
funcs; AUX writes complete but the panel ignores them, leaving
brightness stuck (no-op backlight). Observed on at least KBL and TGL
eDP setups.

Allow UM to bind sparsely populated memory regions by cyclically mapping
virtual ranges over a kernel-allocated dummy BO. This alternative is
preferable to the old method of handling sparseness in the UMD, because it
relied on the creation of a buffer object to the same end, despite the fact
Vulkan sparse resources don't need to be backed by a driver BO.
The choice of backing sparsely-bound regions with a Panthor BO was made so
as to profit from the existing shrinker reclaim code. That way no special
treatment must be given to the dummy sparse BOs when reclaiming memory, as
would be the case if we had chosen a raw kernel page implementation.
A new dummy BO is allocated per open file context, because even though the
Vulkan spec mandates that writes into sparsely bound regions must be
discarded, our implementation is still a workaround over the fact Mali CSF
GPUs cannot support this behaviour on the hardware level, so writes still
make it into the backing BO. If we had a global one, then it could be a
venue for information leaks between file contexts, which should never
happen in DRM.
As a side note, care was put to adjust dummy BO offsets for sparse mappings
so that all addresses in the new VA are mapped aligned against it.

In future commits that will implement repeated mappings, only repeat
values multiple of GPU page sizes will be tolerated. That means these
values must be made known to UM. Do it through a queriable GPU info
value.

The rest of the driver uses raw_spin_lock_irqsave() and
raw_spin_unlock_irqrestore() for locking. To avoid concurrency issues
or deadlocks, use raw_spinlock_irqsave() via the scoped_guard() helper
for power source updates as well.

The Realtek interrupt driver currently supports only single core
systems. So the higher end devices like RTL839x and RTL930x with
dual VPEs must be driven with NR_CPU=1. Enhance the driver to
support multicore (dual VPE) systems. For this:
- Extend the register map for multiple cores
- Search for multiple CPU cores in the devicetree
- Improve the register helpers to support multiple cores
- Add an affinity setter
- Enhance the IRQ handler for multiple cores

The Realtek interrupt controller has two important registers that are used
by the driver in several places
- GIMR: global interrupt mask register
- IRR: Interrupt routing registers
The usage of these registers is very inconsistent. GIMR is addressed
directly while IRR has a helper that needs a macro as an input. Harmonize
this by providing consistent helpers that improve code readability.
The callers of these helpers use classic lock/unlock functions and
sometimes use the wrong locking helper. E.g. irqsave variants are used in
mask/unmask although not needed. Adapt and fix the surrounding call
locations.

v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor()
The v4l2 helper v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor() calls
v4l2_async_register_subdev(), which is a macro that expands to
__v4l2_async_register_subdev(sd,THIS_MODULE). Since the macro is expanded
inside v4l2-fwnode.c, THIS_MODULE resolves to the v4l2-fwnode module
rather than the sensor driver module that originally set sd->owner. When
v4l2-fwnode is built-in, THIS_MODULE evaluates to NULL, which then
overwrites the sensor driver's owner with NULL.
This causes the problem that the sensor module's reference count is never
incremented during async registration, so the module can be removed while
the subdevice is still in use by a notifier (e.g., a CSI-2 receiver
bridge driver).
Fix this by renaming v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor() to
__v4l2_async_register_subdev_sensor() with an added explicit module
argument and introducing a wrapper macro:

This ensures the sensor driver module is properly referenced even when
the sensor driver does not init the owner field before calling

The command stream parsing loop increments the index variable a second
time when a 64-bit command word is encountered (bit 14 set), but does
not re-check the loop bound before writing the second word:

The buffer bocmds is backed by a DMA allocation of exactly size bytes
from drm_gem_dma_create(ddev, size), giving valid indices [0, size/4-1].
When i == size/4 - 1 on entry to an iteration and bit 14 of cmds[0] is
set, bocmds[size/4-1] is written in bounds, i is then incremented to
size/4, and bocmds[size/4] writes four bytes past the end of the
allocation.
Userspace controls both the buffer contents and the size argument via
the ioctl, making this a userspace-triggerable heap out-of-bounds write.
Fix by checking the incremented index against the buffer bound before
the second write and returning -EINVAL if the buffer is too small to
contain the extended command.

kobject is dropped. This function calls of_node_put() unconditionally.
This works fine for devices created with platform_device_register_full()
but users of the split approach (platform_device_alloc() +
platform_device_add()) must bump the reference of the of_node they
assign manually. Add the missing call to of_node_get().

Enable I2C_K1 by default when ARCH_SPACEMIT is configured to ensure SD
card functionality works out-of-the-box.
SpacemiT K1 boards use I2C-controlled PMICs (like the P1 chip) to
provide SD card power supplies. Without the I2C_K1 driver enabled,
regulators cannot be controlled and SD card detection/operation fails.

operations, MCTP/NVDM message infrastructure, and FSP Chain of

- VBIOS hardening and refactoring:
- Harden VBIOS parsing with checked arithmetic, bounds-checked
accesses, and FromBytes-based structure reads throughout the FWSEC
and Falcon data paths. Simplify the overall VBIOS module
structure.
- HRT adoption:
- Use lifetime-parameterized pci::Bar directly, replacing the
Arc<Devres<Bar0>> indirection. Replace ARef<Device> with &'bound
Device in SysmemFlush and the GSP sequencer. Separate the driver
type from driver data.
- Misc:
- Rename module names to kebab-case (nova-drm, nova-core).
- Require little-endian in Kconfig, making the existing assumption
explicit.
- Tyr:
- Define comprehensive typed register blocks for GPU_CONTROL,
JOB_CONTROL, MMU_CONTROL (including per-address-space registers),
and DOORBELL_BLOCK using the kernel register!() macro. This replaces
manual bit manipulation with typed register and field accessors.
- Add shmem-backed GEM objects and set DMA mask based on GPU physical
address width.
- Adopt HRT: separate driver type from driver data, and use IoMem
directly instead of Devres for register access during probe.
- Move clock cleanup into a Drop implementation.

While being less compact, using named initializers allows to more easily
see which members of the structs are assigned which value without having
to lookup the declaration of the struct. And it's also more robust
against changes to the struct definition.
The mentioned robustness is relevant for a planned change to struct
i2c_device_id that replaces .driver_data by an anonymous union.
While touching all these arrays, unify usage of whitespace in the list
terminator.
This patch doesn't modify the compiled arrays, only their representation
in source form benefits. The former was confirmed with x86 and arm64
builds.

PCI config space accessors return positive PCIBIOS_* status codes on
failure that are positive integers. Several DVSEC accesses in the CXL
core propagated these raw values to callers that test for failure against
less than 0. Thus silently misinterpret the return value as success.
Convert the positive error values to negative errno values so the checks
are correct on error paths.
While the chances of a config access failure are low, fix for correctness
and to avoid confusion in the future when more DVSEC accesses are added.

cmd_state_init() initializes the command state with memset(0xff),
leaving dma->len at U64_MAX to signal missing setup. The only setter
is NPU_SET_DMA0_LEN; if userspace omits this command and issues
NPU_OP_DMA_START, dma->len remains U64_MAX.
In dma_length(), a positive stride added to U64_MAX wraps to a small
value. With size0 == 1, check_mul_overflow() does not trigger and
dma_length() returns 0 instead of U64_MAX. The caller's U64_MAX check
then passes, region_size[] stays 0, and the bounds check in
ethosu_job.c is bypassed, allowing hardware to execute DMA with stale
physical addresses.
Fix by checking for U64_MAX at the start of dma_length() before any
arithmetic, consistent with the sentinel value used throughout the
driver to detect uninitialized fields.

dma_length() derives DMA region usage from command stream values and
updates region_size[]:
len = ((len + stride[0]) * size0 + stride[1]) * size1
region_size[region] = max(..., len + dma->offset)
Several arithmetic issues can corrupt the derived region size:
- signed stride values may underflow when added to len
- intermediate multiplications may overflow
- len + dma->offset may overflow during region_size updates
- dma_length() error returns were not validated by the caller
region_size[] is later used by ethosu_job.c to validate command stream
accesses against GEM buffer sizes. Arithmetic wraparound can therefore
under-report region usage and bypass the bounds validation.
Fix by validating signed additions, using overflow helpers for
multiplications and offset updates, and propagating dma_length()
failures to the caller.

On non-U65 hardware (e.g. U85), opcode 0x4093 is NPU_SET_WEIGHT2_LENGTH.
The BASE handler for the same opcode correctly assigns to
st.weight[2].base, but the LENGTH handler mistakenly assigns cmds[1]
to st.weight[1].length instead of st.weight[2].length.
This leaves weight[2].length at its initialised sentinel value of
0xffffffff and corrupts weight[1].length with the user-supplied value,
breaking the software bounds-check state for both weight buffers on U85.
Fix the index to match the BASE handler.

NPU_OP_RESIZE is a U85-only command that the driver does not yet
implement. The existing WARN_ON(1) placeholder fires unconditionally
whenever userspace submits this command via DRM_IOCTL_ETHOSU_GEM_CREATE,
causing unbounded kernel log spam.
If panic_on_warn is set the kernel panics, giving any unprivileged user
with access to the DRM device a trivial denial-of-service primitive.
Replace the WARN_ON(1) with an explicit -EINVAL return so the ioctl
rejects the command before it reaches hardware.

pci_read_config_word() returns PCIBIOS_* status on error which are
positive values. The check should be for non-zero values to indicate
error. Fix cxl_set_mem_enable() to check for non-zero return value
instead of negative value.
While fixing this, also convert the error to negative errno value when
returning on error path.

NPU_SET_IFM_REGION extracts the region index with param & 0x7f, giving
a maximum value of 127. However region_size[] and output_region[] in
struct ethosu_validated_cmdstream_info are both sized to
NPU_BASEP_REGION_MAX (8), giving valid indices [0..7].
Every other region assignment in the same switch uses param & 0x7:
NPU_SET_OFM_REGION: st.ofm.region = param & 0x7;
NPU_SET_IFM2_REGION: st.ifm2.region = param & 0x7;
NPU_SET_WEIGHT_REGION: st.weight[0].region = param & 0x7;
NPU_SET_SCALE_REGION: st.scale[0].region = param & 0x7;
The 0x7f mask on IFM is inconsistent and appears to be a typo.
feat_matrix_length() and calc_sizes() use the region index directly
as an array subscript into the kzalloc'd info struct:
info->region_size[fm->region] = max(...);
A userspace caller supplying NPU_SET_IFM_REGION with param > 7 causes
a write up to 127*8 = 1016 bytes past the start of region_size[],
corrupting adjacent kernel heap data.
Fix by applying the same & 0x7 mask used by all other region
assignments.

Patch series "zram: writeback fixes", v2.
Brian (privately) reported a "leak" of writeback bitmap in certain cases,
so that backing device can store less pages; and a theoretical data leak
in the trailing bytes of compressed writeback pages. Both issues are low
risk.
This patch (of 2):
When compressed writeback is available writtenback pages contain "garbage"
in PAGE_SIZE - obj_size trailing bytes. That "garbage" is, basically,
whatever data that page held before we got it for writeback. To get
advantage of it an attacker needs to be able to read from active backing
swap device, which is already catastrophic. Still, just in case, zero out
those trailing bytes before writeback to a backing device so that we only
store swap-ed out data there.

zram_writeback_slots() loop can terminate with valid reserved backing
device blk_idx. The problem is that cleanup code doesn't release that
reserved blk_idx before zram_writeback_slots() returns, which leads to
blk_idx leak (it becomes permanently busy and can not be used for actual
writeback.) This does not lead to any system instabilities, it only means
that we can writeback less pages. The scenario is hard to hit in practice
as it requires writeabck to race with modification (slot-free or
overwrite) of the final post-processing slot.
Release reserved but unused blk_idx before returning from
zram_writeback_slots().

Rather than providing a hook, simplify things by providing the ability to
override mmap action errors. This allows us to more carefully validate
the value provided and thus ensure only a valid error code is specified,
and simplifies the interface.
This way, we eliminate all hooks but mmap_prepare and allow only mmap
actions to be specified (which core mm controls).
This significantly improves robustness and eliminates any unnecessary code
duplication in driver mmap hooks.
We also update the /dev/mem logic (the only user) to use
mmap_action->error_override instead.

Patch series "remove mmap_action success, error hooks", v3.
The mmap_action->success_hook was a strange beast added to enable code
which appeared to absolutely require access to a VMA pointer to work
correctly.
Primarily this was for hugetlb, however a different approach will be taken
there, as clearly more work is required to figure out a sensible way of
converting hugetlb to use mmap_prepare.
The other user was the memory char driver, specifically /dev/zero which
has the unusual property of explicitly setting file-backed VMAs anonymous.
Providing the success hook was always foolish, as it allowed drivers a way
to workaround the restriction that they should not access a pointer to a
not-yet-correctly-initialised VMA - which defeats the purpose of the
mmap_prepare work.
We can achieve the same thing in memory char driver without needing the
success hook, so this series removes that, then removes the success hook
altogether.
The error hook is also unnecessary - the motivation for this was for
functions which need to override the error code when performing an mmap
action in order to avoid breaking userspace.
We can achieve this by just providing a field for the error code. Doing
this means we don't have to worry about the hook doing anything odd.
We also add a check to ensure the error code is in fact valid.
Again the memory char driver is the only current user of this, so this
series updates it to use that.
After this change mmap_action has no custom hooks at all, which seems
rather more cromulent than before.
This patch (of 3):
/dev/zero, uniquely, marks memory mapped there as anonymous. This is
currently achieved using the mmap_action->success_hook.
However this hook circumvents the abstraction of VMA initialisation so
it's preferable to do things a different way.
To achieve this, this patch firstly defaults the VMA descriptor's vm_ops
field to the dummy VMA operations, which is what file-backed VMAs default
this field to.
That way, we can detect whether a driver sets this field to NULL in order
to mark it anonymous.
We then introduce vma_desc_set_anonymous() to do this explicitly, and
invoke it in mmap_zero_prepare().
This way, any driver which does not explicitly set desc->vm_ops, retains
the dummy vm_ops as they would previously.
We also update set_vma_user_defined_fields() to make clear that we are
either setting vma->vm_ops to what is provided by the driver (or
defaulting to dummy_vm_ops if not set), or setting the VMA anonymous.
This lays the groundwork for removing the success hook.
