Using generic device properties instead of custom platform data structures is preferred due to the resulting unification of the way properties are accessed in consumer drivers. There's no DT node for the GPIO cell in this driver but we can create a software node with device properties and attach it to all the GPIO cells. 2026-05-07veth: fix OOB txq access in veth_poll() with asymmetric queue countsJesper Dangaard Brouer
XDP redirect into a veth device (via bpf_redirect()) calls veth_xdp_xmit(), which enqueues frames into the peer's ptr_ring using smp_processor_id() % peer->real_num_rx_queues as the ring index. With an asymmetric veth pair where the peer has fewer TX queues than RX queues, that index can exceed peer->real_num_tx_queues. veth_poll() then resolves peer_txq for the ring via: peer_txq = peer_dev ? netdev_get_tx_queue(peer_dev, queue_idx) : NULL; where queue_idx = rq->xdp_rxq.queue_index. When queue_idx exceeds peer_dev->real_num_tx_queues this is an out-of-bounds (OOB) access into the peer's netdev_queue array, triggering DEBUG_NET_WARN_ON_ONCE in netdev_get_tx_queue(). The normal ndo_start_xmit path is not affected: the stack clamps skb->queue_mapping via netdev_cap_txqueue() before invoking ndo_start_xmit, so rxq in veth_xmit() never exceeds real_num_tx_queues. Fix veth_poll() by clamping: only dereference peer_txq when queue_idx is within bounds, otherwise set it to NULL. The out-of-range rings are fed exclusively via XDP redirect (veth_xdp_xmit), never via ndo_start_xmit (veth_xmit), so the peer txq was never stopped and there is nothing to wake; NULL is the correct fallback. 2026-05-07platform/x86: hp-wmi: Add support for Victus 16-r0xxx (8BC2)Haichen Feng
The HP Victus 16-r0xxx (board ID: 8BC2) has the same WMI as other Victus S boards, but requires quirks for correctly switching thermal profile. Add the DMI board name to victus_s_thermal_profile_boards[] table and map it to omen_v1_thermal_params. Testing on board 8BC2 confirmed that platform profile is registered successfully and fan RPMs are readable and controllable. 2026-05-07coresight: ete: Always save state on power downJames Clark
System register ETMs and ETE are unlikely to be preserved on CPU power down. The ETE DT binding also never documented "arm,coresight-loses-context-with-cpu" so nobody would have legitimately been able to use that binding to fix it and ACPI has no such binding at all. Fix it by hard coding the setting for sysreg ETMs (ETE is always sysreg) or ACPI boots. Use a local variable when setting up save_state so that it's immune to concurrent probing when devices have different configurations which is an issue with modifying the global. 2026-05-07coresight: tmc: Fix overflow when calculating is bigger than 2GiBLeo Yan
When specifying a 2GB AUX buffer, the ETR driver ends up allocating only a 1MB buffer instead: # echo 'file coresight-tmc-etr.c +p' > \ /sys/kernel/debug/dynamic_debug/control # perf record -e cs_etm/@tmc_etr0,timestamp=0/u -C 0 -m ,2G -- test coresight tmc_etr0: allocated buffer of size 1024KB in mode 0 The page index is an 'int' type, and shifting it by PAGE_SHIFT overflows when the resulting value exceeds 2GB. This produces a negative value, causing the driver to fall back to the minimum buffer size (1MB). Cast the page index to a wider type to accommodate large buffer sizes. Also fix a similar issue in the buffer offset calculation. 2026-05-07drm/panthor: Avoid potential UAF due to memory reclaimAkash Goel
Recent changes to add shrinker support introduced a use after free vulnerability. When a BO is evicted from the shrinker callback, all its CPU and GPU mappings are invalidated. It can happen that another GPU mapping is created for the BO after the eviction. Because of the new GPU mapping, BO will be added back to one of the reclaim list but the state of corresponding vm_bo will not be changed. If vm_bo remains in evicted state and shrinker callback is invoked again then the new GPU mapping won't be invalidated. As a result the backing pages, which were acquired on the creation of new GPU mapping, can get reclaimed and reused whilst they are still mapped to the GPU. To prevent the use after free possibility, this commit removes the evicted check for vm_bo so that all GPU mappings are checked for invalidation. v2: - Update comment and add a newline in panthor_vm_evict_bo_mappings_locked(). 2026-05-07platform/x86/intel/tpmi/plr: Prevent fault during unbindSrinivas Pandruvada
This driver faults when intel vsec driver is unbound from PCI driver interface. For example: echo 0000:00:03.1 > /sys/bus/pci/drivers/intel_vsec/unbind This is caused by accessing plr->dbgfs_dir after vsec_tpmi driver is removed. Here vsec_tpmi driver is the parent. On unbind, the parent device remove callback is called first which here will remove debugfs interface. Hence plr->dbgfs_dir is no longer valid. Register notifier for TPMI_CORE_EXIT and make this pointer to NULL, so that debugfs_remove_recursive() is not called with bad plr->dbgfs_dir pointer. After notifier is returned the vsec_tpmi driver will call remove debugfs by calling debugfs_remove_recursive(). In some cases a driver using services of vsec_tpmi driver requires some processing before vsec_tpmi exits. For example a children using debugfs can't use debugfs as this will be deleted by the vsec_tpmi driver. This is the case when unbind using PCI driver interface. In this case the remove callback of vsec_tpmi driver is called first, then remove callback of its children. Add support of blocking chain notifiers support. Notify on successful probe and before clean up in the remove callback. 2026-05-07firmware: psci: Set pm_set_resume/suspend_via_firmware() for SYSTEM_SUSPENDKonrad Dybcio
PSCI specification defines the SYSTEM_SUSPEND feature which enables the firmware to implement the suspend to RAM (S2RAM) functionality by transitioning the system to a deeper low power state. When the system enters such state, the power to the peripheral devices might be removed. So the respective device drivers must prepare for the possible removal of the power by performing actions such as shutting down or resetting the device in their system suspend callbacks. The Linux PM framework allows the platform drivers to convey this info to device drivers by calling the pm_set_suspend_via_firmware() and pm_set_resume_via_firmware() APIs. Hence, if the PSCI firmware supports SYSTEM_SUSPEND feature, call the above mentioned APIs in the psci_system_suspend_begin() and psci_system_suspend_enter() callbacks. 2026-05-07platform/x86: samsung-galaxybook: Handle ACPI hotkey notificationsAyaan Mirza Baig
On Samsung Galaxy Book 5 (SAM0430), the keyboard backlight, microphone mute, and camera block hotkeys do not generate i8042 scancodes. Instead they arrive as ACPI notifications 0x7d, 0x6e, and 0x6f respectively, all of which previously fell through to the default "unknown" warning in galaxybook_acpi_notify(). Add handling for these three events: - 0x7d (Fn+F9, keyboard backlight): schedule the existing kbd_backlight_hotkey_work which cycles brightness. - 0x6e (Fn+F10, microphone mute): emit KEY_MICMUTE via the driver's input device. - 0x6f (Fn+F11, camera block): if block_recording is active use the existing block_recording_hotkey_work; otherwise emit a toggle of SW_CAMERA_LENS_COVER via the driver's input device on models where the block_recording ACPI feature is not supported. The driver UAPI is mode-based, allowing the user to choose a mode from a small list based on the output size. The vertical blanking is set based on the mode, do the same for horizontal blanking so the frame rate obtained is constant. Additionally, it's best to use a known-good horizontal blanking value as choosing the value freely may affect image quality. While the minimum value may not be the best value for horizontal blanking, at least it is constant rather than a minimum value of a different configuration. TC358768 has two ways to send DSI commands: 1) buffer the payload data into registers (DSICMD_WDx), which supports up to 8 bytes of payload, 2) buffer the payload data into the video buffer, which supports up to 1024 bytes of payload. Sending long commands using the video buffer (to be implemented in following patches) requires setting TC358768_DATAFMT and TC358768_DSITX_DT registers for command transfer. The same registers also need to be configured properly for video transfer. The long commands will be sent between the bridge's pre_enable() and enable(), and currently we configure the registers for video transfer in pre_enable(). Thus, they would be overwritten by the long command transfer code. To prevent that from happening, set those registers for video transfer in enable(), not in pre_enable(). The driver prints a warning if MIPI_DSI_CLOCK_NON_CONTINUOUS is set, and falls back to continuous clock mode. This was added in commit fbc5a90e82c1 ("drm/bridge: tc358768: Disable non-continuous clock mode"). However, there have been multiple changes to the driver since then, and at least in my setup, non-continuous clock mode works: I can see an image on the panel, and I can see the clock lanes being non-continuous with an oscilloscope. The SMBus block transfer length data->block[0] is validated in i2c_smbus_xfer_emulated() but that check runs too late for tracepoints and is skipped entirely when the adapter provides a native smbus_xfer implementation. This allows user-controlled oversized block lengths to reach tracepoint memcpy calls and driver callbacks unchecked. Add an early validation in __i2c_smbus_xfer() that rejects block transfers whose caller-supplied length is zero or exceeds I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX before any tracepoint fires or driver callback runs. data->block[0] is filled in by the device on SMBus block reads, so the check is scoped to operations where the length is actually supplied by the caller. This is consistent with the existing -EINVAL convention in the emulated path and protects all downstream consumers at once: the smbus_write tracepoint, all native smbus_xfer driver implementations, and the emulated path. bochs_pci_probe() allocates the DRM device with devm_drm_dev_alloc(), which registers a devres action to drop the initial DRM device reference on driver detach or probe failure. The error path currently calls drm_dev_put() manually. If probe then returns an error, devres will run the registered release action and put the same device again, after the first put may already have released it. 2026-05-07spi: amlogic-spisg: drop misleading NULL check on exdescStepan Ionichev
aml_spisg_setup_transfer() takes a non-NULL exdesc pointer; the function dereferences exdesc unconditionally later in the body to populate the SPI scatter-gather descriptors (tx_ccsg / rx_ccsg). The sole caller, aml_spisg_transfer_one_message(), always passes a valid pointer derived from kcalloc(). The "if (exdesc)" guard around the memset() at the start of the function is therefore dead and misleading -- it suggests callers may pass NULL when in fact they may not. smatch flags the inconsistency: drivers/spi/spi-amlogic-spisg.c:314 aml_spisg_setup_transfer() error: we previously assumed 'exdesc' could be null (see line 261) Drop the check; the unconditional memset matches the unconditional dereferences elsewhere in the function and removes the inconsistency that smatch reports.
