42 hoursclk: xilinx: Make sure clk_init_data is fully initializedGeert Uytterhoeven
The clk_init_data structure contains several mutually-exclusive members for different methods to specify the possible parents of a clock, prompting drivers to initialize only the members they need. However, not initializing all members may cause subtle issues, which are only exposed when CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL_PATTERN or CONFIG_INIT_STACK_NONE is enabled. Make sure all members are fully initialized, to avoid such bugs, and to prevent future breakage when converting drivers to a different method for specifying the parents. 2026-07-28clk: clocking-wizard: Program PLL CP/RES and lock parameters on reconfigShubhrajyoti Datta
When dynamically reconfiguring the PLL multiplier, the charge pump (CP), loop filter resistance (RES), and lock timing parameters must be updated to match the new multiplier value. Without this, the PLL may fail to lock or exhibit jitter at certain multiply factors. Add lookup tables for CP/RES and lock timing values indexed by multiplier range, and program registers for chargepump and lock delay during dynamic reconfiguration. 2023-07-19clk: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2023-03-28clk: xilinx: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. 2023-03-28clk: xilinx: Drop if block with always false conditionUwe Kleine-König
xvcu_remove() is only called for a device after after xvcu_probe() completed successfully. In that case dev_set_drvdata() was called for that device with a non-NULL parameter, so platform_get_drvdata() won't return NULL and the if condition is never true. Drop the if, preparing a conversion to make platform driver's remove callback return void. 2021-02-08clk: xilinx: move xlnx_vcu clock driver from socMichael Tretter
The xlnx_vcu driver is actually a clock controller driver which provides clocks that can be used by a driver for the encoder/decoder units. There is no reason to keep this driver in soc. Move the driver to clk. NOTE: The register mapping actually contains registers for AXI performance monitoring, but these are not used by the driver.
