2026-03-10dt-bindings: mfd: sl28cpld: Drop sa67mcu compatibleMichael Walle
I was just informed that this product is discontinued (without being ever released to the market). Pull the plug and let's not waste any more maintainers time and revert commit a598ae45f48d ("dt-bindings: mfd: sl28cpld: Add sa67mcu compatible"). 2026-02-03dt-bindings: Fix I2C bus node names in examplesKrzysztof Kozlowski
I2C bus node names are expected to be just "i2c", if there is just one such node in given example. Replace remaining bad examples with scripted: git grep -l '\si2c[0-9] {' Documentation/devicetree/ | xargs sed -i -e 's/i2c[0-9] {/i2c {/' Suggested-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@oss.qualcomm.com> Reviewed-by: Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart@ideasonboard.com> Reviewed-by: AngeloGioacchino Del Regno <angelogioacchino.delregno@collabora.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20260114081322.53411-2-krzysztof.kozlowski@oss.qualcomm.com Signed-off-by: Rob Herring (Arm) <robh@kernel.org>
2025-10-21dt-bindings: embedded-controller: add Traverse Ten64 board controllerMathew McBride
Add device tree binding for the board (micro)controller on Ten64 family boards[1]. The schema is simple and is (presently) only consumed by U-Boot, but it is possible nvmem, watchdog and other features could be described in the future, as well as extension to future Traverse boards. 2025-10-01dt-bindings: mfd: sl28cpld: Add sa67mcu compatibleMichael Walle
The Kontron SMARC-sAM67 module features an on-board house keeping uC. It's designed to be compatible with the older on-board CPLD used on the SMARC-sAL28 board. To be prepared for any board specific quirks, add a specific compatible. 2025-10-01dt-bindings: mfd: Move embedded controllers to own directoryKrzysztof Kozlowski
Move several embedded controller bindings (like ChromeOS EC, Gateworks System Controller and Kontron sl28cpld Board Management) to new subdirectory "embedded-controller" matching their purpose. An embedded controller (EC) is a discrete component that contains a microcontroller (i.e. a small CPU running a small firmware without operating system) mounted into a larger computer system running a fully fledged operating system that needs to utilize the embedded controller as part of its operation. So far the EC bindings were split between "mfd" and "platform" directory. MFD name comes from Linux, not hardware, and "platform" is a bit too generic. Rename Gateworks GSC and Huawei Gaokun filenames to match compatible, as preferred for bindings.
