Adds configuration HID driver for the MSI Claw series of handheld PC's.
In this initial patch add the initial driver outline and attributes for
changing the gamepad mode, M-key behavior, and add a WO reset function.
Sending the SWITCH_MODE and RESET commands causes a USB disconnect in
the device. The completion will therefore never get hit and would trigger
an -EIO. To avoid showing the user an error for every write to these
attrs a bypass for the completion handling is introduced when timeout ==
0.
The initial version of this patch was written by Denis Benato, which
contained the initial reverse-engineering and implementation for the
gamepad mode switching. This work was later expanded by Zhouwang Huang
to include more gamepad modes. Finally, I refactored the drivers data
in/out flow and overall format to conform to kernel driver best
practices and style guides. Claude was used as an initial reviewer of
this patch.

The tap-to-mute button of the HyperX QuadCast 2 (03f0:07b4) is handled
entirely in the device firmware. The firmware gates the audio internally
but never sends the Telephony "Phone Mute" usage (0x2f) that its own report
descriptor advertises, and it does not touch the UAC feature unit either.
Consequently neither an evdev key event nor an ALSA mixer change is ever
generated, and userspace has no way to learn that the microphone was muted:
desktops keep showing the microphone as live, and conferencing applications
keep displaying an unmuted microphone while transmitting silence.
The mute state is reported through a vendor-defined collection instead:

Pressing the button emits a 64-byte report on that collection:

where byte 1 identifies the mute event and byte 2 carries the resulting
state. As the payload is an opaque vendor blob carrying no HID usages,
hid-input cannot map it and a hwdb entry cannot express it either.
Add a driver that decodes the report and emits KEY_MICMUTE, which makes the
button behave like any other microphone mute key.
Note that the device reports the resulting absolute state, whereas
KEY_MICMUTE is a momentary key that userspace acts on as a toggle, so the
driver emits one keypress per state change.
Tested on a HyperX QuadCast 2 (03f0:07b4).

Move all Arctis headset code (battery monitoring, wireless status,
power supply registration, raw event handling) from hid-steelseries.c
into the new hid-steelseries-arctis.c driver module.
hid-steelseries.c keeps the SRWS1 racing wheel and the MSI RGB LED
devices, while hid-steelseries-arctis.c handles the Arctis 1 (Xbox) and
Arctis 9 wireless headsets with their own device table, probe, remove,
and raw_event implementations.

Adds OneXPlayer HID configuration driver. In this initial driver patch,
add the RGB interface for the first generation of HID based RGB control.
This interface provides the following attributes:
- brightness: provided by the LED core, this works in a fairly unique
way on this device. The hardware accepts 5 brightness values (0-4),
which affects the brightness of the multicolor and animated effects
built into the MCU firmware. For monocolor settings, the device
expects the hardware brightness value to be pushed to maximum, then we
apply brightness adjustments mathematically based on % (0-100). This
leads to some odd conversion as we need the brightness slider to reach
the full range, but it has no affect when incrementing between the
division points for other effects.
- multi-intensity: provided by the LED core for red, green, and blue.
- effect: Allows the MCU to set 19 individual effects.
- effect_index: Lists the 19 valid effect names for the interface.
- enabled: Allows the MCU to toggle the RGB interface on/off.
- enabled_index: Lists the valid states for enabled.
- speed: Allows the MCU to set the animation rate for the various
effects.
- speed_range: Lists the valid range of speed (0-9).
The MCU also has a few odd quirks that make sending multiple synchronous
events challenging. It will essentially freeze if it receives another
message before it has finished processing the last command. It also will
not reply if you wait on it using a completion. To get around this, we
do a 200ms sleep inside a work queue thread and debounce all but the most
recent message using a 50ms mod_delayed_work. This will cache the last
write, queue the work, then return so userspace can release its write
thread. The work queue is only used for brightness/multi-intensity as
that is the path likely to receive rapid successive writes.

The Rakk Dasig X gaming mouse has a faulty HID report descriptor that
declares USAGE_MAXIMUM=3 (buttons 1-3) while actually sending 5 button
bits (REPORT_COUNT=5). This causes the kernel to ignore side buttons
(buttons 4 and 5).
Fix by patching the descriptor to set USAGE_MAXIMUM=5 in the
report_fixup callback.
The mouse uses Telink vendor ID 0x248a with three product IDs for USB
direct (0xfb01), wireless dongle (0xfa02), and Bluetooth (0x8266)
connection modes. All three variants have the same bug at byte offset 17.

Adds initial framework for a new HID driver, hid-lenovo-go-s, along with
a uevent to report the firmware version for the MCU.
This driver primarily provides access to the configurable settings of the
Lenovo Legion Go S controller. It will attach if the controller is in
xinput or dinput mode. Non-configuration raw reports are forwarded to
ensure the other endpoints continue to function as normal.

Adds initial framework for a new HID driver, hid-lenovo-go, along with
attributes that report the firmware and hardware version for each
component of the HID device, of which there are 4 parts: The MCU, the
transmission dongle, the left "handle" controller half, and the right
"handle" controller half. Each of these devices are provided an attribute
group to contain its device specific attributes. Additionally, the touchpad
device attributes are logically separated from the other components in
another attribute group.
This driver primarily provides access to the configurable settings of the
Lenovo Legion Go and Lenovo Legion Go 2 controllers running the latest
firmware. As previously noted, the Legion Go controllers recently had a
firmware update[1] which switched from the original "SepentiaUSB" protocol
to a brand new protocol for the Go 2, primarily to ensure backwards and
forwards compatibility between the Go and Go 2 devices. As part of that
update the PIDs for the controllers were changed, so there is no risk of
this driver attaching to controller firmware that it doesn't support.

This patch adds support for handling the side buttons
on the RAPOO 0x2015 wireless mouse. These buttons were
previously not generating input events due to missing
driver logic.
The new code handles raw HID input report with Report
ID 1 and maps the side buttons to KEY_BACK and KEY_FORWARD
using the input subsystem.
Tested on a RAPOO mouse with USB ID 24AE:2015.

Define a new structure that contains simple haptic device configuration
as well as current state.
Add functions that recognize auto trigger and manual trigger reports
as well as save their addresses.
Verify that the pressure unit is either grams or newtons.
Mark the input device as a haptic touchpad if the unit is correct and
the reports are found.

This patch series is focused on improving the compatibility and usability of the
hid-pidff force feedback driver. Last patch introduces a new, universal driver
for PID devices that need some special handling like report fixups, remapping the
button range, managing new pidff quirks and setting desirable fuzz/flat values.
This work has been done in the span of the past months with the help of the great
Linux simracing community, with a little input from sim flight fans from FFBeast.
No changes interfere with compliant and currently working PID devices.
"Generic" codepath was tested as well with Moza and Simxperience AccuForce v2.
I'm not married to the name. It's what we used previously, but if "universal" is
confusing (pidff is already the generic driver), we can come up with something
better like "hid-quirky-pidff" :)
With v8 and tiny finx in v9, all the outstanding issues were resolved,
additional pidff issues were fixed and hid-pidff defines moved to a dedicated
header file. This patch series could be considered done bar any comments and
requests from input maintainers.
I could save more then a dozen lines of code by changing simple if statements
to only occupy on line instead of two in there's a need for that.

The Touch Bars found on x86 Macs support two USB configurations: one
where the device presents itself as a HID keyboard and can display
predefined sets of keys, and one where the operating system has full
control over what is displayed. This commit adds a driver for the
display functionality of the first configuration.
Note that currently only T2 Macs are supported.
This driver is based on previous work done by Ronald Tschalär

Extend pidff compatibility, usable button range, manage pidff quirks and
set improved fuzz/flat default for high precision devices. Possibility
of fixing device descriptors in the future if such needs arises.
As many of PID devices are quite similar and not dependent on
custom drivers, this one can handle all of PID devices which
need special care.
Numerous sim racing/sim flight bases report a lot of buttons
in excess of 100. Moza Racing exposes 128 of them and thus
the need to extend the available range.
All the included devices were tested and confirmed working
with the help of the sim racing community.

This patch introduces a new driver to support the Goodix GT7986U
touch controller. This device is not compatible with Microsoft's
HID-over-SPI protocol and therefore needs to implement its own
flavor. The data reported is packaged according to the HID
protocol but uses SPI for communication to improve speed. This
enables the device to transmit not only coordinate data but also
corresponding raw data that can be accessed by user-space programs
through the hidraw interface. The raw data can be utilized for
functions like palm rejection, thereby improving the touch experience.

- Device connection confirmation and initialization
- IRQ-based event reporting to the input subsystem
- Support for HIDRAW operations (GET_REPORT and SET_REPORT)

The hid-uclogic-params.o and hid-uclogic-rdesc.o files are linked
into both the driver module and the unit test, which triggers a
W=1 warning:

WinWing Orion2 throttle works with Linux out of box,
but the kernel sees only 16 of 47 buttons on the throttle base.
This module enables all buttons, and also adds LED controls.
Button numbers 0 .. 63 on Orion2 are reserved for throttle grip;
the throttle base buttons have numbers 64 .. 110.
Linux kernel HID subsystem only supports up to 80 buttons.
Remap throttle base buttons to numbers 32 .. 78,
reserving only numbers 0 .. 31 for buttons on the grip handle.

Added a gpiochip compatible driver to control the 8 GPIOs of
the MCP2200 by using the HID interface.
Using GPIOs with alternative functions (GP0<->SSPND, GP1<->USBCFG,
GP6<->RXLED, GP7<->TXLED) will reset the functions, if set (unset by
default).
The driver was tested while also using the UART of the chip. Setting
and reading the GPIOs has no effect on the UART communication. However,
a reset is triggered after the CONFIGURE command. If the GPIO Direction
is constantly changed, this will affect the communication at low baud
rates. This is a hardware problem of the MCP2200 and is not caused by
the driver.

The history is a little long for this series, as it was intended to be
sent for v6.2. However some last minute issues forced us to postpone it
to v6.3.
Conflicts:

For now only supports one model and only filters out bogus reports sent
when the keyboard has been configured through hidraw.
Without this, as events are not released, soft repeat floods userspace
with unknown key events.

Declare an entry point that can use fmod_ret BPF programs, and
also an API to access and change the incoming data.
A simpler implementation would consist in just calling
hid_bpf_device_event() for any incoming event and let users deal
with the fact that they will be called for any event of any device.
The goal of HID-BPF is to partially replace drivers, so this situation
can be problematic because we might have programs which will step on
each other toes.
For that, we add a new API hid_bpf_attach_prog() that can be called
from a syscall and we manually deal with a jump table in hid-bpf.
Whenever we add a program to the jump table (in other words, when we
attach a program to a HID device), we keep the number of time we added
this program in the jump table so we can release it whenever there are
no other users.
HID devices have an RCU protected list of available programs in the
jump table, and those programs are called one after the other thanks
to bpf_tail_call().
To achieve the detection of users losing their fds on the programs we
attached, we add 2 tracing facilities on bpf_prog_release() (for when
a fd is closed) and bpf_free_inode() (for when a pinned program gets
unpinned).

The Topre REALFORCE R2 firmware incorrectly reports that interface
descriptor number 1, input report descriptor 2's events are array events
rather than variable events. That particular report descriptor is used
to report keypresses when there are more than 6 keys held at a time.
This bug prevents events from this interface from being registered
properly, so only 6 keypresses (from a different interface) can be
registered at once, rather than full n-key rollover.
This commit fixes the bug by setting the correct value in a report_fixup
function.

The UGEE v2 tablets expose a string descriptor with their capabilities.
Move the code used to parse the descriptors and generate a parameter
list from it to its own function and add KUnit tests to validate the
parser.

The KUnit documentation [1] suggests allowing build tests as a module.
In addition, it is recommended [2] to use snake case names for
kunit_suite and test cases.
Change the Kconfig entry from bool to tristate and stick to the naming
conventions to avoid style issues with future tests.

The uclogic_rdesc_template_apply() function is used by the driver to
generate HID descriptors from templates.
In order to avoid regressions in future patches, add KUnit tests to
test the function.
To run the tests:
$ ./tools/testing/kunit/kunit.py run --kunitconfig=drivers/hid \
--kconfig_add CONFIG_VIRTIO_UML=y \
--kconfig_add CONFIG_UML_PCI_OVER_VIRTIO=y

This patch adds support for one of the several Mega World USB game
controller with integrated force feedback. It is a HID based

We need to support parsing the HID device in both the Vivaldi and the
Hammer drivers so that we can properly expose the function row physmap
to userspace when a hammer device uses a vivaldi keyboard layout for the
function row keys. Extract the feature mapping logic from the vivaldi
driver into an hid specific vivaldi library so we can use it from both
HID drivers.
To allow more code sharing we mandate that vivaldi data must be placed
at the very beginning of the driver data attached to the HID device
instance.

Add a driver to enable the macro keys (M1 - M5) by default, these are
mapped to XF86Tools and XF86Launch5 - XF86Launch8. The driver remaps
them by default to macro keys with an option to retain the old mapping
which users most likely already use as there are many scripts to enable
the macro keys available on Github and other websites.

Add a new driver for the LetSketch / VSON WP9620N drawing tablet. This
drawing tablet is also sold under other brand names such as Case U,
presumably this driver will work for all of them. But it has only been
tested with a LetSketch WP9620N model.
These tablets also work without a special HID driver, but then only
part of the active area works and both the pad and stylus buttons are
hardwired to special key-combos. E.g. the 2 stylus buttons send right
mouse clicks / resp. "e" key presses.
