bpf_get_fsverity_digest() silently truncates the digest if the provided
buffer is too small. This is a footgun, and it doesn't match the
semantics of the equivalent UAPI (FS_IOC_MEASURE_VERITY).
Change it to return -EOVERFLOW instead, matching FS_IOC_MEASURE_VERITY.

The BPF verifier and the dynptr abstraction ensure that the memory space
referenced by a dynptr remains valid. They do not, however, provide any
guarantee that the contents of the memory are stable. kfuncs are
expected to remain memory-safe even if concurrent modifications occur.
bpf_get_fsverity_digest() didn't follow that: it could crash if
arg->digest_size was concurrently modified.
Fix that by using the known-good value hash_alg->digest_size instead.
Also widen 'dynptr_sz' and 'out_digest_sz' to u64 to match the return
type of __bpf_dynptr_size(). It doesn't appear that it can actually be
more than INT_MAX currently (since __bpf_dynptr_data_rw() excludes
file-based pointers), but the correct type might as well be used.

Compute the hash of one filesystem block's worth of zeros. A filesystem
implementation can decide to elide merkle tree blocks containing only
this hash and synthesize the contents at read time.
Let's pretend that there's a file containing 131 data block and whose
merkle tree looks roughly like this:
root
+--leaf0
| +--data0
| +--data1
| +--...
| `--data128
`--leaf1
+--data129
+--data130
`--data131
If data[0-128] are sparse holes, then leaf0 will contain a repeating
sequence of @zero_digest. Therefore, leaf0 need not be written to disk
because its contents can be synthesized.
A subsequent xfs patch will use this to reduce the size of the merkle
tree when dealing with sparse gold master disk images and the like.
Note that this works only on the first-level (data holes). fsverity
doesn't store/generate zero_digest for any higher levels.
Add a helper to pre-fill folio with hashes of empty blocks. This will be
used by iomap to synthesize blocks full of zero hashes on the fly.

Redefine dynptr mutability and fix inconsistency in the verifier and
kfunc signatures. Dynptr mutability is at two levels. The first is
the bpf_dynptr structure and the second is the memory the dynptr points
to. The verifer currently tracks the mutability of the bpf_dynptr struct
through helper and kfunc prototypes, where "const struct bpf_dynptr *"
means the structure itself is immutable. The second level is tracked
in upper bit of bpf_dynptr->size in runtime and is not changed in this
patch.
There are two type of inconsistency in the verfier regarding the
mutability of the bpf_dynptr struct. First, there are many existing
kfuncs whose prototypes are wrong. For example, bpf_dynptr_adjust()
mutates a dynptr's start and offset but marks the argument as a const
pointer. At the same time many other kfuncs that does not mutate the
dynptr but mark themselves as mutable. Second, the verifier currently
does not honor the const qualifier in kfunc prototypes as it determines
whether tagging the arg_type with MEM_RDONLY or not based on the register
state.
Since all the verifier care is to prevent CONST_PTR_TO_DYNPTR from
being destroyed in callback and global subprogram, redefine the
mutability at the bpf_dynptr level to just bpf_dynptr_kern->data. Then,
explicitly prohibit passing CONST_PTR_TO_DYNPTR to an argument tagged
with MEM_UNINIT or OBJ_RELEASE. The mutability of a dynptr's view is not
really interesting so drop MEM_RDONLY annotation for dynptr from the
helpers and kfuncs. Plus, if the mutability of the entire bpf_dynptr
were to be done correctly, it would kill the bpf_dynptr_adjust() usage
in callback and global subporgram.
Implementation wise
- First, make sure all kfunc arg are correctly tagged: Tag the dynptr
argument of bpf_dynptr_file_discard() with OBJ_RELEASE.
- Then, in process_dynptr_func(), make sure CONST_PTR_TO_DYNPTR cannot
be passed to argument tagged with MEM_UNINIT or OBJ_RELEASE. For
MEM_UNINIT, it is already checked by is_dynptr_reg_valid_uninit().
For OBJ_RELEASE, check against OBJ_RELEASE instead of MEM_RDONLY and
drop a now identical check in unmark_stack_slots_dynptr().
- Remove the mutual exclusive check between MEM_UNINIT and MEM_RDONLY,
but don't add a MEM_UNINIT and OBJ_RELEASE version as it is obviously
wrong.
Note that while this patch stops following the C semantic for the
mutability of bpf_dynptr, the prototype of kfuncs are still fixed to
maintain the correct C semantics in the implementation. Adding or
removing the const qualifier does not break backward compatibility.
In addition, fix kfuncs dropping the const qualifier when casting the
opaque bpf_dynptr to bpf_dynptr_kern.
In test_kfunc_dynptr_param.c, initialize dynptr to 0 to avoid
-Wuninitialized-const-pointer warning.

Previously, kfunc declarations in bpf_kfuncs.h (and others) used "user
facing" types for kfuncs prototypes while the actual kfunc definitions
used "kernel facing" types. More specifically: bpf_dynptr vs
bpf_dynptr_kern, __sk_buff vs sk_buff, and xdp_md vs xdp_buff.
It wasn't an issue before, as the verifier allows aliased types.
However, since we are now generating kfunc prototypes in vmlinux.h (in
addition to keeping bpf_kfuncs.h around), this conflict creates
compilation errors.
Fix this conflict by using "user facing" types in kfunc definitions.
This results in more casts, but otherwise has no additional runtime
cost.
Note, similar to 5b268d1ebcdc ("bpf: Have bpf_rdonly_cast() take a const
pointer"), we also make kfuncs take const arguments where appropriate in
order to make the kfunc more permissive.

This commit marks kfuncs as such inside the .BTF_ids section. The upshot
of these annotations is that we'll be able to automatically generate
kfunc prototypes for downstream users. The process is as follows:
1. In source, use BTF_KFUNCS_START/END macro pair to mark kfuncs
2. During build, pahole injects into BTF a "bpf_kfunc" BTF_DECL_TAG for
each function inside BTF_KFUNCS sets
3. At runtime, vmlinux or module BTF is made available in sysfs
4. At runtime, bpftool (or similar) can look at provided BTF and
generate appropriate prototypes for functions with "bpf_kfunc" tag
To ensure future kfunc are similarly tagged, we now also return error
inside kfunc registration for untagged kfuncs. For vmlinux kfuncs,
we also WARN(), as initcall machinery does not handle errors.

fsverity provides fast and reliable hash of files, namely fsverity_digest.
The digest can be used by security solutions to verify file contents.
Add new kfunc bpf_get_fsverity_digest() so that we can access fsverity from
BPF LSM programs. This kfunc is added to fs/verity/measure.c because some
data structure used in the function is private to fsverity
(fs/verity/fsverity_private.h).
To avoid recursion, bpf_get_fsverity_digest is only allowed in BPF LSM
programs.

Address several issues with the calling convention and documentation of
fsverity_get_digest():
- Make it provide the hash algorithm as either a FS_VERITY_HASH_ALG_*
value or HASH_ALGO_* value, at the caller's choice, rather than only a
HASH_ALGO_* value as it did before. This allows callers to work with
the fsverity native algorithm numbers if they want to. HASH_ALGO_* is
what IMA uses, but other users (e.g. overlayfs) should use
FS_VERITY_HASH_ALG_* to match fsverity-utils and the fsverity UAPI.
- Make it return the digest size so that it doesn't need to be looked up
separately. Use the return value for this, since 0 works nicely for
the "file doesn't have fsverity enabled" case. This also makes it
clear that no other errors are possible.
- Rename the 'digest' parameter to 'raw_digest' and clearly document
that it is only useful in combination with the algorithm ID. This
hopefully clears up a point of confusion.
- Export it to modules, since overlayfs will need it for checking the
fsverity digests of lowerdata files

Instead of looking up the algorithm by name in hash_algo_name[] to get
its hash_algo ID, just store the hash_algo ID in the fsverity_hash_alg
struct. Verify at boot time that every fsverity_hash_alg has a valid
hash_algo ID with matching digest size.
Remove an unnecessary memset() of the whole digest array to 0 before the
digest is copied into it.
Finally, remove the pr_debug statement. There is already a pr_debug for
the fsverity digest when the file is opened.

Define a function named fsverity_get_digest() to return the verity file
digest and the associated hash algorithm (enum hash_algo).
This assumes that before calling fsverity_get_digest() the file must have
been opened, which is even true for the IMA measure/appraise on file
open policy rule use case (func=FILE_CHECK). do_open() calls vfs_open()
immediately prior to ima_file_check().

I originally chose the name "file measurement" to refer to the fs-verity
file digest to avoid confusion with traditional full-file digests or
with the bare root hash of the Merkle tree.
But the name "file measurement" hasn't caught on, and usually people are
calling it something else, usually the "file digest". E.g. see
"struct fsverity_digest" and "struct fsverity_formatted_digest", the
libfsverity_compute_digest() and libfsverity_sign_digest() functions in
libfsverity, and the "fsverity digest" command.
Having multiple names for the same thing is always confusing.
So to hopefully avoid confusion in the future, rename
"fs-verity file measurement" to "fs-verity file digest".
This leaves FS_IOC_MEASURE_VERITY as the only reference to "measure" in
the kernel, which makes some amount of sense since the ioctl is actively
"measuring" the file.
I'll be renaming this in fsverity-utils too (though similarly the
'fsverity measure' command, which is a wrapper for
FS_IOC_MEASURE_VERITY, will stay).

Add a function for filesystems to call to implement the
FS_IOC_MEASURE_VERITY ioctl. This ioctl retrieves the file measurement
that fs-verity calculated for the given file and is enforcing for reads;
i.e., reads that don't match this hash will fail. This ioctl can be
used for authentication or logging of file measurements in userspace.
