2026-08-03raid6/kunit: add a benchmarkChristoph Hellwig
Add a benchmark to test the RAID 6 P/Q functions for more representative block sizes and numbers of disks. This splits the maximum alloc size used for the benchmark from the max size for the kunit test because recovery is currently limited to a single page at a time. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. The runtime numbers are reported in GB/s as the numbers of modern implementations are basically unreadable as MB/s. This means retro-architectures could report 0, but that is an easy tradeoff. 2026-08-03xor/kunit: add a benchmarkChristoph Hellwig
Add a benchmark to test the XOR functions for more representative block sizes and numbers of disks. Including 64k would be useful here, but increasing the test buffer size increases the runtime of the functional kunit test too much unfortunately. The runtime numbers are reported in GB/s as the numbers of modern implementations are basically unreadable as MB/s. This means retro-architectures could report 0, but that is an easy tradeoff. 2026-05-28raid6: rework registration of optimized algorithmsChristoph Hellwig
Replace the static array of algorithms with a call to an architecture helper to register algorithms. This serves two purposes: it avoid having to register all algorithms in a single central place, and it removes the need for the priority field by just registering the algorithms that the architecture considers suitable for the currently running CPUs. 2026-05-28raid6: move to lib/raid/Christoph Hellwig
Move the raid6 code to live in lib/raid/ with the XOR code, and change the internal organization so that each architecture has a subdirectory similar to the CRC, crypto and XOR libraries, and fix up the Makefile to only build files actually needed. Also move the kunit test case from the history test/ subdirectory to tests/ and use the normal naming scheme for it. 2026-04-02xor: make xor.ko self-contained in lib/raid/Christoph Hellwig
Move the asm/xor.h headers to lib/raid/xor/$(SRCARCH)/xor_arch.h and include/linux/raid/xor_impl.h to lib/raid/xor/xor_impl.h so that the xor.ko module implementation is self-contained in lib/raid/. As this remove the asm-generic mechanism a new kconfig symbol is added to indicate that a architecture-specific implementations exists, and xor_arch.h should be included.
